From sources the Turkish flights are currently down as Freebird. be good to see some airbus birds back. Smart Lynx have been an operational nightmare for U2/TUI/Jet2 this year. (TUI using a smart lynx out of DSA) Id be surprised if we see Jet2 using them again next year. Time will tell.

I am sure I read somewhere that some (can’t remember how many) B738s were to leave the TUI fleet this winter. That could also explain some reshuffling. Equally knowing me I could have misread that!

Looking at the LBA winter 2022/23 ACL slot report it would seem TUI are booked into operate a Lapland charter flight to Enontekio in mid December..

Could this be a flight moved from Donny? Up until now I've not seen this one advertised by TUI for Leeds.
Probably as they wouldn’t want to disappoint their young customers now!

Or it could be we are going to get a base again and looking at finalising that schedule. Would need time changes on CFU, DBV and PMI though. That said, wouldn't surprise me too see just the token TUI presence once again. Sure I read somewhere that AYT had been dropped from MME. Plus Turkey going through a boom just now. Time definitely going to tell here

Will they wait as long as that I wonder. The have increased EMA quite significantly for S23 so that is probably too soon but yes agree they may be the first ones to jump on any potential new DSA bandwagon. But that is something that could then majorly backfire on them for all the reasons covered in the DSA closure thread. We all know TUI are a law unto themselves so nothing at all would surprise me where they are concerned

It's hard to see any base by TUi at LBA unless LBA successfully seeks planning consent to change its night hours again, because LBA have already said that they will be at maximum night movements next summer just with Jet2, Ryanair and KLM. There's no scope for more as things stand, and a TUi base would bring about up to 2 additional night movements per aircraft.

AYT only Turkish route for MME currently and DLM only Turkish route for S24 currently. Hopefully we will get more added.

Just to clarify, for a non techy like me, do the number of night movements you say LBA are expecting include the newer, quieter aircraft expected to be switched in , particularly for Jet2, or some existing types or is that too early to know for sure.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
