Doesn't seem enough time for crew familiarisation/training though..

If only Primera had announced BOS, YYZ & EWR at the same time as they have, but with later launch dates, i think all this bad press wouldn’t of happened, they would’ve had more time to advertise and the bookings would be much better and we would not have already lost BOS

Tried to do too much too quickly. Hoping that EWR & YYZ are still a success at BHX and the services do not suffer from the late aircraft deliverys

I really wish this airline well but they definitely seem to be cutting things fine and give me the collywobbles at times but they are our only transatlantic hope at present having lost three carriers (American, United and AirTransit ) in the last 12 months, four if you count Icelandair some of who likely pulled out because of Primera.

Lets just hope the 2nd A321 is ready for the 18th May, just over 4 weeks away now, the start date of the New York service from Birmingham and Paris CDG.

By that date both Stansted transatlantic flights will be on the leased B757, so any delays in the production of the 2nd A321 OY-PAB will effect BHX or CDG

anyone know the status of the 2nd A321 at present?
Matt, page 1 of this thread, I believe the posting on 30 March is the 2nd A321, not seen anything since though

Since when did we lose Boston? And why?!

Booked 18th May off work to go and see the first flight to New York EWR

Not long now until TATL operations resume at BHX and to be honest regardless who is operating these flights its a celebration.

I still cant believe we have had no flights to the USA this past winter, hopefully the bad times are over and time to fight back :)

Brum X supporting Primera Air

Too right Brum X. I would like your post more than once if I could. Lets celebrate this event. I think it will stand the test of time.

As for earlier posts regarding the 757:

Passenger 1 "what aircraft is this?"
Passenger 2 "I dunno. As long as the loo works and there is a drinks trolley."

Aircraft issues for Primera?

There is no Palma on May 15th, 16th, 17th and 19th and no Malaga on May 16th, 17th and 19th.

I wish they were.

The website shows a circle icon with a line through it when a flight is full, the dates about have just disappeared.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
