Fantastic pics as always Ryan, thanks for posting 👍

Loving the little fokker, not many of them machines left now. I used to remember when i was a little lad (Long time ago 😉) when these were new aircraft and i used to watch the Air UK Fokker at Sheldon Country park which used to do BHX-Amsterdam 2/3 x daily. Aaaaargh those were the days.
and the mad thing about this one was it was never de-iced. I never seen it move so fast. They called up to ATC to be de-iced but they would of missed there take off slot in 10 minutes time. So they cancalled it had a quick pushback & taxi to the end of 33. if you look wing you can still see a little ice on it.

Just a point, if you look at Ryan's great pictures of G-TUIM (A 787-9) and G-TUIA (A 787-8)

You can notice the difference in the length of the fuselage, first the small number of extra windows in front of the wing, and then the larger amount of extra windows behind the wing.

Cool way of realising what differences those aircraft have. I believe the 789 also has an increased range but don't quote me on it.

Yes, also the TUI 787-9s have one missing window too. It's how I can differentiate them 🙂

Yes I also remember the Aer Lingus F27s back then didn't they call them "Friendships."
Yes, the F27 was the 'Friendship' and the F28 was the 'Fellowship'.
I flew on a NLM Cityhopper F28 from AMS to BHX. It's hard to believe that since then another type (F70/F100) has come into service and is now being retired.
By the way, I flew out to AMS on a Netherlines SF340.

I flew on a KLM F28 once in the early to mid 1990s from Amsterdam to Brussels - about half an hour in the air and a full drinks round! The cabin staff understood their priorities. Mind you, there were only 18 passengers on board. In those days I regularly used KLM Cityhopper SF340s between Bristol and Amsterdam.

Sorry to go a-wandering a bit, but things seemed to have changed so quickly (at my age, 25 years is but a blink of the eye).

Just speculation so please, no barbed comments.

Titan overnight stopped for a deportation flight which departed this morning. The AirBaltic aircraft also night stopped so I guess it is Eastern European types for repatriation but of course I may be quite wrong.

It could be an innocent Gold shipment or a sports team on a jolly!

Well this is kind of odd...
FR24 is showing a Thomas Cook A321 heading to Abu Dhabi, perhaps it's an error or something?

Two things I can think of that could be accountable for that

Either a cruise charter for P&O as TUI also do those, or it may be off out there for maintenance

Those are my two best guesses anyway!

Yeah, those seem likely hypothesises. What's more interesting is that first, the Etihad 787 divert went back to AUH from BHX. Also, today we have a TCX A321 going the same route.
It's interesting these unscheduled flights happen in the same month.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
LBA: Albastar B737-800 EC-MUB positioning in tommorow afternoon from Gatwick 15:45 to operate a charter to Lourdes/Tarbes on Friday afternoon 14:00 AP7721 STC
I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
