I saw THIS article and feared the worst. I've looked further and found nothing on any other news outlets or even a statement on the Cardiff City wensite so I'm assuming that he is still fighting on?

Apologies for not double checking before posting, lets hope that he can pull through.

Sadly, Peter Whittingham did succumb to his injuries.

Very sorry to learn of the death of Eddie Large (he of Little and Large fame) who passed away in the early hours of today.

He had heart problems for a number of years and was in hospital again being treated when he was infected with the corona virus from which he sadly died.

Eddie Large had lived at the Portishead marina just outside Bristol for many years. I saw him more than once in recent years when I was walking around the marina. He would always smile and give a friendly wave, and would have a few words if not chatting with someone else at the time, which he often seemed to be such was his popularity.

Condolences to his loved ones. RIP.

I clicked the wrong 'like' against JENNYJET's post - it should have been the sad one.

After his stellar career at Leeds United, Norman Hunter played for Bristol City during much of their last visit to English football's top tier (the pre-Premier League Division One or First Division) from 1976 until 1980.

I was lucky enough to see him play many games at Ashton Gate and he had lost none of his drive and enthusiasm. Having seen him playing for Leeds United and England on the telly on numerous occasion I was aware of his qualities as a strong man and hard tackler.

However, until I began watching him regularly 'in the flesh' I hadn't realised how skilful he was too with an educated left foot. Although he was only at Bristol City for three years he acquired cult status and has always been fondly remembered. Shortly after his retirement from playing many Bristol City supporters hoped he might become their manager but it wasn't to be.

Only this morning the Bristol newspaper carried a story saying that Norman was very ill but was fighting the virus, then a few hours later came this dreadful news.

Thank you Norman for giving me and countless other supporters so many, many hours of pleasure. It was a privilege to watch you play.

Condolences and sympathy to your loved ones. Rest In Peace.

You got Joe JORDAN instead. Both of Leeds United vintage and both sent me hiding behind the sofa for their tough approach to the game. It was a different game then, no VAR, but always interesting.

Indeed, Joe Jordan both played for and managed Bristol City, including two spells of the latter. He certainly had a fearsome countenenace, especially when he'd taken out his dentures which he did in order to play in a match.

Terry Cooper was another former Leeds United star who finished up in Bristol playing for and managing both Bristol clubs at various times. His son Mark currently manages Forest Green Rovers located at Nailsworth between Bristol and Gloucester.

Bristol City always seem to have done well when Leeds United stars 'downsize', all the way back to Tommy Burden (Leeds United's club captain) in the mid-1950s. I'm probably the only member of F4A who remembers him and even I was at school at the time. Tommy played at Ashton Gate until he was in his mid-30s and was a part-time professional like Bristol City's greatest ever player John Atyeo, who became head of maths at a Wiltshire comprehensive school after he retired from football. Tommy finished up as a senior executive for Clarks Shoes based at Street near Glastonbury in Somerset.

Treasured memories but It's sad that it takes such a sad occasion to trigger them again.

Watchdog and Breskfast TV presenter Lynn Faulds has died at the age of 72. Always a likeable and charming personality to have on the TV back in the 80s and 90s. She will be missed.

A great duo, Large will be missed. The term larger than life is all too often used but definitely applies to Eddie, a great character.

I believe she suffered a massive stroke that caused her death. It's ironic because she successfuly fought type three bowel cancer.

Brings home that I am tremendously fortunate that my strokes were not so severe, just crippling and leaving me with a bigger problem. Ms. Faulds is in a better place though sad for those she leaves behind.

She did so much during WW2 for my parents' generation: entertaining the troops; keeping military personnel in touch with their loved ones at home via her radio programmes; generally helping to keep sprits high with her singing. She joined ENSA and gave outdoor concerts to the troops in such places as Egypt, India and Burma. Many years after the war she was awarded the Burma Star in recognition of her efforts in entertaining soldiers in Japanese-occupied Burma.

Her sobriquet 'The Force's Sweetheart' summed up her contribution to the war effort perfectly.

Although my early teenage years coincided with the onset of rock 'n' roll I've never been a great one for contemporary music, or 'pop music' as we called it (although that's not to say that there weren't some pop songs that I enjoyed because I did), and I prefer music that has a decent tune and songs where I can hear every word sung. I liked Vera Lynn's music when I was a young man and still do.

She deserved a long life. RIP.
