I will be at the cemetery but if 32 is in use I will prob be on Scotland Lane or the footpath by the lights/Plane Tree hill for the landing.

The one going to LBA is for IPS and will be is ex Aer Europa MSN 814

Jordan are for PIA not IPS - BHX, MAN, DSA & LHR only
I heard that too, but it was an airport employee who told me it was Jordan Aviation and a second said the same.

Personally I dont care which airline it is but just wish someone in authority would put us out if our misery by confirming one way or t'other.

Whoever it is, It needs Business Class and the Serene Air A330 200s do have that, carrying 299 of which 24 are Business Class. They are ex Air Europa though they haven't (as yet) operated outside of Asia.

It's all such a mystery! Agatha Christie would have been proud of this story.

I saw that but didn't know what he meant. I do now as I googled it. So MSN814 is still shown as an Air Europa machine, in storage since 2019. Presuming that's now no longer the case, which airline now has it? Ian says it's not Jordan, you say it's not Serene Air. Someone must have it if it's that aircraft as Ian states?

Surely IPS can't be just using 1 A330 esp as when you include the EMA flights its almost daily flights to uk, what happens if the aircraft goes tech, they will need a spare aircraft?
The whole thing sounds like a joke really. Perhaps it's Micky Mouse Airways doing this route! Yorkshire International Airways perhaps?

According to one website MSN814 is withdrawn from use and in storage at CQM, which is a 2100 feet above sea level, abandoned airport, used to film Top Gear in Spain - Real Cuidad to be precise. That doesn't sound like the sort if airport that aircraft leave again in one piece!

Frankly, I give up. It's getting beyond ridiculous now that in 6 days time were are supposed to have a new route to Islamabad, and nobody knows which airline is operating it on behalf of IPS Airways. Even IPS Airways' website gives no clue.

If this flight actually operates I will be pleasantly surprised but frankly, astonished.

Its got a 4100m runway- but that aside its been used quite heavily in recent years for temporary storage of aircraft. That is until the airport went bust and closed (last year I think).

There has been time since then for it to reopen. Im sure theres been time for MSN814 to be made airworthy.

Of course info on the net can lag behind reality so even though it looks like MSN814 is still at CQM it could have left there and be in Sereneair or any other airlines fleet by now. Likewise I havent been able to find any record of an application for a Foreign Airline Permit by any airline to fly ISB-LBA on the CAA website, probably because of a time lag.

I did note Jordan Airways application to fly to LHR, MAN and DSA incidentally.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
