Vueling Flights, New Routes & Schedule Updates

I wouldn`t be suprised to see Easy jump into replace Vueling as they started MAN this spring and within weeks had increased schedule and they have the benifit of having plenty of A319s which maybe more apropriate for the route in the winter

Average Load factors so far this year have been:

January: 60%
February: 75%
March: 75%
April: 59%
May: 65%

Rather alarmingly though is that over the period January to May, 9 flights out of a planned 63 were cancelled or 14%.

With easyJet starting CDG, if we lose Vueling the capacity basically switches from ORY to CDG. Once EZY get up to daily, it almost doubles the capacity Veuling were offering, so even without Vueling capacity will still be up overall.
It’s a pity, as BHX-ORY could perform really well with the right equipment. A 220-seater A321 is excessive for such a short hop considering the size/demand from BHX, so it seemed like a losing battle from the start.

A 150-seater A220/A319 or similar with higher frequency would have probably made the route more viable. U.K.-Paris is a route that needs high frequency to be reliable or lucrative, and 2-3 times per week means many people I know (brits in france and vice versa) have stuck to AF.

Agreed that this could be one for easyJet in future, as they fly from Bristol to both CDG & ORY, for example. Great that capacity to Paris will be up once easyJet commence CDG. However, ORY is by far the preferred airport for most, as anyone familiar with Paris will know, so it’ll be a real shame to lose this connection just 2 years after gaining it.

Fingers crossed easyJet will be happy with CDG performance and consider ORY in future 🤞

Pity it wasn't an A320 the 321 is probably too big for BHX.Still they only have 321s at Orly.

Was it daily this year?

As of now sees 18x weekly flights weekly between BHX-BCN

FR = 7x weekly
VY = 7x weekly
U2 = 2x weekly
LS = 2x weekly

I'm still pretty confident that the likes of Barcelona and Madrid are massively underserved from BHX in Summer Peak season... Granted Barcelona is also served to some extend by Girona and Reus but im confident we could fill more capacity on both BCN and MAD

Nothing bookable past Oct 25th.

I can't remember if this winter had been put on sale so not sure if it's been removed or never there in the first place?

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
