As you say, they will also have A321LR which would be more suitable.

But given FlyADeal is a subsidiary of Saudia, SV would want to be careful not to compete with itself. I still think FlyNas would be a better fit: they fly to Islamabad but FlyADeal does not.
I believe that Saudi Arabia wants to attract more inbound tourism to essentially rival Dubai so (and please no one take this as a slagging off of Leeds and Yorkshire) Saudia could be used to target more premium markets and onward connections and flyadeal less premium markets considering it is a low cost airline. Problem Saudi Arabia has though is a costly inbound tourism visa, I believe its £100.

Another barrier to tourism is the fact that they do not permit alcohol on their aircraft or anywhere in the country.

Interesting Hays / P&O offering a BGI departures from EXT next winter, would be great if LBA could get these 1 off charter flights, EXT has a shorter runway.
I raised this with our P&O account manager at our last TEAMS also the Malta based cruises which often use Jet2 and it's 'under constant review' - I reminded her that Leeds and Manchester aren't just 40-50 miles apart they are potentially an overnight stay and an extra half day on a holiday!

Interestingly I see on FR24 there is alot of Jet2 TFS charters down to TFS at the weekend but LBA doesn’t feature, presuming for a cruise company. There obviously is a big cruise market in the area as it was one of the main drivers Blue Island announced SOU.

TUI also serve LBA mainly for its Marella cruise offering.

It will be P&O Azura hence my banging on the door very loudly!

I am now a retired travel agent but when i was working i spent a lot of time telling P&O that they needed to serve LBA. Fred Olsen used to use LBA for Caribbean charters. Last year I did a P&O Azura Cannaries cruise and was annoyed that I had to fly Jet2 from Man and not LBA.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
