He probably hasn't even read that far. It makes a total mockery of the planning system. I would laugh my socks off if LBA pushed ahead with the previous plans, both of them.Do we know what VHs stance is in respect of the already approved terminal extension??
Vincent Hodder, LBA CEO.Sorry for being a bit dim but who the hell is VH?
Its called the great reset, the east with their ever growing economies and large infrastructure plans whilst here we have the greta types essentially changing the world order, its all one big plan that when u sit down and think about it you can see it happening, china has certainly its plans into action for sure!So if the scheme is canned completely how does failing major infrastructure ever get renewed. No renewal of roads, airports or other major infrastructure schemes. Meanwhile, China and India are building literally hundreds of airports at the economic expense of the UK and if we are to believe the environmentalists, it's a futile response that will achieve nothing.
Depending on the alternatives that maybe an option.Conservative members of the planning panel gave their support so I dont have any problem returning the favour.
I think the affected airports should join forces and lobby the government.@LBAYORKIE
The trouble is, who decides what balance is? We have a huge imbalance of air transport, not just in the wider UK but even between the regions. Just one airport, Heathrow, takes the overall lions share of all UK air journeys. Yet a small regional airport serving one of the largest cities in the country is currently denied from growing passengers to a mere 7mppa. Every major city knows aviation is a catalyst for inward investment which is why cities are generally keen to see their local airport develop. Denying LBA and other regional airports a chance to compete with their larger neighbours is also denying their regional economies from thriving and competing on a level playing field. If you are trying to attract a major investor, why would they choose a lazy backwater city where getting there is difficult, when you can pick a city which offers the benefits of international connections and where it's easy to reach.

When you say the masses? Every green nimby in the country writes to oppose plans like this. Only locals writes to support them. That's the injustice in this as it's like me trying to have a say on what goes on in Glasgow or Newquay when it's none of my business. The environmentalist will claim it has wider implications but they fail to consider the industrial growth of Asian, African and Middle Eastern countries. Do you think the Chinese would accept their complaint letters about the growth of their airports? No, of course not. What a joke!! If it was not in green belt land they could crack on and build this given the council go ahead?. I feel this move is just to buy a bit of time the inevitable is coming I feel the masses have got their way and this wont go ahead now just my opinion of course.
