I had a quick check of the TUI website and these would appear to be the planned flights for CWL over the next few weeks (from 3rd August). TUI’s Spanish flights from all bases currently seem to be planned to start from Monday 10th August but this is, of course, uncertain so I have omitted Spanish flights.

Saturday 1st August 2020

TUI B738 (G-TAWA) operated BHX-AYT this afternoon. It then positioned empty back to CWL to become the second based aircraft.

G-TAWD arrived on Friday and today operated out and back to Kos, Greece

That's surprising as I thought there was only enough work for one ac

There were two TUI departures on Thursday to Dalaman and Antalya, taking off within an hour, but all TUI departures have vanished off the CWL departures board, there is a TUI Dalaman flight due out tomorrow.

TUI has now been restored to the departure board.

ROC10's post (see below) suggests that there are two pm departures on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays (some beginning next week). There are no am flights shown on any of these days. In fact, Monday is the only day with an am flight. I presume all these gaps are the result of TUI suspending Spanish destinations.

Perhaps they could put an extra flight on to Faro, as media say people are trying to book more fights to Portugal, and there is some hope that the Canary Islands will soon be exempt from quarantine, according to the press.

At the moment, it looks like very little change for CWL, which is good news. SSH is dropped from everywhere except LGW/MAN/BHX so that’s no surprise. It’s almost certain that things will change (possibly many times) before S21 though so everything should be taken with a pinch of salt. Sadly it looks like my local TUI base has been quite significantly affected.

Oh dear thats not good. Put doubts in peoples minds again. This virus is not finished by any means, andd with colder weather not far away wont help.

A group of people from Plymouth also tested positive for the virus after returning from Zante on Monday. I don't know which UK airport they used.

A plus point for CWL is that the flight from Zante was as good as full - 187 passengers.

Yes I'd imagine quite a few had changed their holidays from Spain as well.
Unfortunately if people want to travel abroad they are going to have the risk of things like this happening.

They must have been on the CWL flight if they are contacting people from that flight? Or stayed in the same hotel?
According to the BBC report the Plymouth people returned from Zante last Monday whereas the Cardiff flight arrived on Tuesday (the day after).

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
