Anyone have an update regrading security Queue times at 4am? Ta

I believe they were the length of the terminal. Having said that I was there at 6 two weeks ago and there was virtually no queue. Check the Airport Experience thread.

The queue for security has always been quite lengthy first thing in a morning and sometimes around lunchtime. It has never been uncommon to see queues down to the current arrivals area, almost meeting the queue for the Jet2 check in hall.

No but at 1415 on Tuesday afternoon lots of departures before i flew security queue to corridor entrance but went down quickly..
Only grip was trays took a while to come through so lots of people at end waiting.

Just took about 30 mins to get through the security que at LBA.

But still a 50% time error on the screens which was similar to my experience about a month ago. The screens become useless if they are not reasonably accurate.

All fully operational. No liquids over 100ml but you can leave it all in your hand luggage along with any electronic items. Enjoy your flight!

I also flew to Dublin today, but from Stansted. And I’m never doing it again! Took over half as much time again as it should have to get there!

Just the journey to the airport. Had to get off the A1 2 separate times (one was to go through Pontefract, other near Tuxford) and the whole route was just congested. We slowed to a near stop just to get going straight away at least twice, 50-60 was the standard speed, and the M11 was just bad

I assumed you must have already been in the south. Were the flights from Stansted significantly cheaper than from LBA?

I believe they were. Our family also doesn’t cope well with very early or late flights which also complicated going from LBA. Making the return journey today, with any luck it won’t be half as bad
