Just been browsing the airlines planned flight schedule.Looks as last nights Sunday flight was the final one. Back to 3 weekly.

Is it true that PIA could be the next airline to quit BHX ??

However i am also hearing they are in a financial crisis and wont be around for much longer. Sign of the times hey

If its true then id rather them go than have another airline on the brink for years to come so we can start rebuilding our airport now.

It seems that PIA have had financial issues for a while now, they've dropped US flights citing massive losses.

Not heard about a pull out but if so I can't see who else would take over. Shaheen and Air Blue don't seem to be in much better shape and I'm not sure that a European airline would risk the security situation down route.

A quote from PIA official Twitter account today

“We are pleased to announce that the new livery for Pakistan Intl Airlines has been chosen! Bigger & better than ever before, something incredible is coming your way! A rigorous selection process, including focus group discussions, was followed to select the new livery design #PIA”

Look forward to seeing this design and of course hope it visits BHX real soon!

And sometime soon they will have a nice new airport to go with it...

This image has appeared today rumoured to be the new PIA livery, first impressions and I think it’s dreadful!

I hope this isn’t the new livery, not a fan at all.

If it is the new livery, I don't mind it but it is a little on the plane side. (pun intended)

When I saw Pakistan International Airlines I thought "uh-oh flights suspended due to not wanting to fly over Pakistan", but then geography and politics stepped in.

Would be good to see. Never heard of the place. When I looked it up in Wikipedia I misspelt the plsce and ended up reading about a village of 805 people. Surely not. But a big city close to the border with India. An alternative to Lahore which is not far away.

Lets hope.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
