they will need to get all their 787s back in service then, still have VT-ANH & VT-ANL stored!!!! :ROFLMAO:
They should be bought back once their needed. So far their not needed yet since the flights they have are able to be operated using the 787s that are currently active

I'm booked on Air India to Bangkok from Birmingham for Christmas. My first time on them : - )
Don't expect too much, the state of the cabins is awful,it's pot luck if you will have IFE that actually works so take a tablet or similar.

Not sure what is happening with this evenings Air India flight to Amritsar, just looked on flight radar and showed him taxiing from the gate and parking up on one of the bus stands. Does anyone know the reason behind this?

Looks like AI have again delayed a MAN service, so could that now add extra capacity at BHX, four destinations were rumoured for BHX but all has gone quiet recently ?
Lets hope AI firm up their plans for both BHX and MAN before another airline looks at the UK regions :)
We may get a slightly better idea of their future plans when the Summer 2024 ACL slots are released .

They often don't lead to firming up but could give us an idea.

They are supposedly due out any week now..

When you state four destinations were rumoured for bhx we’re talking about Indian destinations or just in general

From what I have read, there is no aircraft to add extra capacity. There have been delays in getting the 787 fleet fully functional again, which may explain the delay in committing to these new routes (the four just announced were from short haul A321 and long haul A350/777 fleets.)

They are taking delivery now of both ex Cathay 77Ws and some undelivered Aeroflot A350s so they could have planes available if they are replacing 787s.

Already one daily AI 787 out of LHR has gone up to a 77W.A second due for next summer.

Didn`t think they were replacing the 788 just refurbishing the ones that had been stored for a long time which is taking an equally long time.

What I mean is they are replacing 787s on 2 daily rotations into LHR with larger 77Ws for extra capacity.

So those 787s are freed up to go elsewhere.

Have we had an increase from Air India, they are promoting flights to Kuala Kumpar from BHX daily via DEL starting 15th September? Are we not x 6 weekly atm?

according to some people, you only need 1 day in each of the Yorkshire Dales, North Wales and Lake District "to have seen it all". Which is why its minibus tour number 3 this year of the Yorkshire Dales for me on 16th October. Different routes and different things to see each tour.
Apologies for any issues today, I was planning on updating the site but sadly something went wrong so the upgrade has been postponed. Apologies again for any inconvenience caused.

Thank you for your kind donation to our running costs Jenny.
I've done 2 minibus tours with Mountain Goat this week. Monday was North York Moors with over 600 photos and today High Adventure in the Lakes with 750. photos. Slightly snap happy.
I've asked Gareth Southgate for the winning lottery numbers. He said 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6
