🅿️ Parking & Transport: Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA)

It probably won't come as a surprise but due to rising costs and in particular the Chancellor's decision to significantly increase business rates for airports, LBA are increasing their drop off charges from March to £8. They are keen to point out that this charge remains competetitive with other regional airports, disabled passengers can stay for 60 minutes for their 8 quid, and that LBA remains the only airport offering a free drop off option a 5 minute walk from the terminal.

I have no doubt that this will prompt much wailing and gnashing of teeth on social media from they who think airports are charities so my suggestion would be to avoid the likes of the LBA Facebook page, YEP, YP and Leeds Live until they've found something else to complain about, unless you actually enjoy reading it.

It always amazes me that people will pay £1000's for a holiday and then grumble about paying a miniscule amount to be dropped off "at the door".

No YEP are in bed with LBA no way would they post negative on LBA.. only DSA.. 😴

The roadworks seem to have been going on for months.

The ones in Horsforth at Tesco, I havent seen any work going on? All tesco parking is suspended also, its a nightmare!

And the ones on leeds rd near the airedale factory is where they have just laid the new road surface, but now left with a bumpy patch up job! Unbelievable!

Strange isn’t it that Brabin and her ilk trumpet the economic benefits of this proposed new station but when it comes to the economic benefits of linking a certain airport with a rail connection they go deadly quiet and just stare at the floor.
