He is good at sourcing information that is generally already publicly available 🙄 To be honest I wish people would stop posting his Twitter posts without also adding substantially to the debate otherwise we will just look like an extension to Twitter.

To be honest I for one can vouch for SeanM.
He is quite knowledgeable, hence I know he has the airlines flight schedule timings & route commencement dates tweets ready to go even before his allowed to post them publicly on his Twitter feed.
He also has lot of followers whom like his posts so they share them on the respective threads and yes I do it to..

Personally I find Sean a very good source of info when it comes to route news etc. He has built up quite a following and I believe has been quoted by Simon Calder in some of his articles. As for twitter links I guess that's just down to ease of use. Just copy and paste and all the info is there.

I am confused (easy done). Does SeanM not know about any new airline or does know but cannot say? Presumably the first option.
It always intrigues me how people find out about unannounced new routes when both the airline and airport treat it as commercially confidential.

On most of the info he posts, He actually knows before his allowed to post publicly.

Regards the new airline announcement for LBA he knows who it is, but cant either confirm or deny. It's the same with everything in aviation its not 100% until it's confirmed and the tires hit the tarmac, well in LBA's case the concrete...

Thanks lbaspotter..That's three of us then who know who it is but cannot say.

I'm not knocking SeanM, just when people copy his Tweet and just post SeanM says... "

Anyway I'm digressing too much from the thread at hand. Slap my wrist 😤

So as for any further announcements, I'm guessing they'll want it announced before Christmas for a decent lead in time?

Fingers crossed for something new that isn't ex Doncaster!

If it comes to pass, it's not anything they had at Donny.

Ok so making it a bit of fun/interesting - my 3 unrealistic/realistic predictions which I'm wishing for: (based on the info they don't operate from DSA or MAN.)

Unrealistic 3:
JetBlue - JKF
Fly Dubai - DXB
AirBlue - ISB (Not that unrealistic, jus think PIA are the right airline for the job)

Realistic 3:
PLAY - KEF
Air Europa - MAD
Anadolu Jet - IST

I think we should have a game, each member who regularly posts on here should each guess 3 potential airlines, the one who gets it right with their 1st choice is the winner haha
My guesses are..
1 PLAY to KEF
2. Wideroe into bergen and scandanavia
3 serena air to ISB using A330.

One outsider would be blue air (although the airline has troubles atm)

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
