Not sure how trus it is, but I was told a rumour in past few days that Air France maybe coming to LBA from April 2024..

I’ve not heard anything about Air France but a twice daily CDG on an Emb170/190 would surely work. The good thing about Paris is not just the connections offered thru CDG but that Paris is obviously a destination in its own right…together with Disneyland.

@lbaspotter did that catch you on the Hop. I would suggest AF is quite credible with KLM knowing how good LBA is with probably little room for expansion through AMS

Without any humerus jokes is there any serious rumours regarding PLAY or any other operators in the pipe line? The airport will be very busy indeed from 1st may so any other good news wil be the icing on the cake.

Interesting. Just had a read of this article of a petition going around restore flights to 2 UK airports from Cork. Leeds/Bradford and Newquay Cornwall are the 2.

Was Aer Arran or BMI the last airline to serve Cork? I always recall the flight as being busy when I worked at the airport, at least the Aer Arran service.

It was Aer Lingus Reigonal under Stobart air that operated LBA-ORK in Summer 2016.

It was Manx2 but it was also at Cork.

If I remember correctly it was a Metro which crashed at Cork not a Let, although still operating under the Manx 2 banner.
