They will still operate it as it's cheaper than cancelling and having to offer refunds. And if pax book but decide not to travel then no refund because the flight is still operating. FR all over!

I'm pleasantly surprised by the booking figures actually. It just comes to show that people are still using services that are been offered to them. To have near enough a 1/3 or sometimes more of the flight full can still have its benefits. I presume the flights leading up to Christmas will be busier simply because, well it's Christmas after all!!

Will be interesting to see if they maintain these figures come January.

Optimism here. If they don't deliver the vaccination programme as planned there should be absolute anarchy. It's not like they've not had the majority of 2020 to plan for this. Feels at the moment very much like it's being planned on the bag of a cigarette packet.

Could well be they are re shaping for lower demand in March having now got the data for what happens when we return to "tier" restrictions. e.g. What happened in July last year.

edit - this is Ryanair also. Chop and change more then I have hot dinners. I’ll reliably follow TUI, easyJet (to an extent) and jet2 to figure out return of international travel. TUI and jet2 more so.

This seems to be the reason for the axed flights mentioned in recent posts. From the end of next week nearly all Ryanair flights to/from Brisotl have been axed until the last week in March.

This could be one huge own goal from FR. They already don’t have the best of reputations. Even allowing for this being a necessity, it’s their rhetoric and subsequent actions that may prove costly. They are also going to have to overcome the MAX doubters this year. Interesting times ahead for FR!

Had FR ever traded off reputation? They have quite deliberately gone down a different path for years, and it has proved successful for their market.

I am sure when people see cheap fares they won't care about whether it is a max or not - most won't even have a clue which one they are on anyway.

To a lot of people "as cheap as possible" is their criteria when buying anything. A lot of people are going to be disappointed when fares rise - even Ryanair's - once people are flying again.

The 2+current LBA based Ryanair Boeing 737-800's EI-EKG & EI-EBS will position out to Manchester tonight for storage (parking)

There are No Ryanair flights due to operate into or out of LBA until last weekend in March, when they are due to switch over onto the summer schedule.

Edit' we have a KRK-LBA-KRK rotation due to operate on Friday January 15th using a Krakow based aircraft.

It is likely the flight ban imposed by Poland will be extended beyond the current 13 January expiry, so that will have to be cancelled in due course.

Flights from Poland to the UK are ok, but they may have done the UK to Poland sector empty.

Well that ban I didn't stop Ryanair operating Leeds - Warsaw, Krakow, Wroclaw & Gdansk on Friday. Even the snow didn't!

Ryanair and easyJet have been sending out empty aircraft from Bristol to Poland in the past week or so to bring back passengers to the UK.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
