Travelling to BCN in Sept but the Jet2 Friday flight we're looking at is eye wateringly expensive and KLM is less - come back Vueling - this service used to be daily with LS and now in the summer 2x a week at high fares!

I always seem to book the difficult destinos....Gib in May but has, therefore, to be Manc (urg) in May..Red Funnel and Brittany Ferries in between but for FUE in November, Jet2 have blocked out the dates I want on Package only from LBA...so unless I want a very long trek its back to Manc and its anal security staff.....I`m going to have to start going somewhere else..
As someone above said....its good to be able to book trips again.

Ap1995, Yes. Both J2H are from LBA. EZE in July will probably be BA from LHR because I have a £300 voucher to use up from a cancelled flight last year. EZE in October I’m not sure yet. I like to try different airlines down to Argentina so may give Air Europa or Iberia a go.

Oh and I booked a Ryanair LBA-PMI flight only last night…..I was bored. 27-29th March £15.98 return. It will cost me more to get up to LBA in a taxi.

I was hoping to fly from LBA to Bergerac with LS in July but fare is ridiculously expensive. Although Ryanair fares to Bergerac from LPL aren't on sale yet its looking like they will be 1/3 of the price. Shame as its a long drive to/from LPL.

London Heathrow spotting day trip booked for bank holiday in June (Thursday 2nd) using the new Flybe Leeds /Bradford service. Return flights with pre-booked seats cost £90 which is around same price I paid when last using the British Airways service.

Was going to do a overnighter, but I need to be back at Headingley on Friday 2nd for the Yorkshire vs Durham, T/20 blast game.

Travelled through LBA this morning, although checked in had to pick up boarding pass from KLM desk. It took 35mins, security 55 minutes. I hate to think what it will be like at Easter.
Now at AMS waiting for connection to BSL.

Still far better than MAN and BHX also struggling. Had the Government given more support to airports at the start of the pandemic, they might not have had to make so many staff redundant and wouldn't now been in this situation. It hasn't helped that the Government has also introduced even stricter vetting of security staff which has added 2 weeks to the training period of all new staff.

I should have added that everyone was calm and collected. I got through security before a couple who had checked in before me who paid for fast track.
Looking at the bad press MAN is getting at the moment we may pick up some extra bookings from travellers wanting to avoid the queues.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
