I would say the AMS route is our least reliable overall, with numerous cancellations and plenty of delays. Belfast City isn't great either!
Agreed ! They have always been a bit that way had several nights in Amsterdam on my way to Bahrain in the past due to various reasons getting from Leeds to Schipol for my connecting flight.
I don’t see this as good news !

Flew LBA to LPA 26th Jan and back today on the 733!

Check in at both airports was swift, security at LBA moved quickly but was amazed to see the line back to Jet2 at 0715 on a Sunday morning! Airport busy!

Booked the 1432 lounge, had very mixed experience last time but this time was spot on with great staff. It’s been made smaller in preparation to join to the extension.

Flights marginally early in each direction. Outward the 738 was probably 80% full and the 733 had around 140 on board.

Bags at LBA much quicker than LPA. Overall a positive experience from Jet2 and LBA.

Not in economy I hope.
Yes, I was in economy and I received good service from KLM and Air France. Looking at the premium cabin, the seats/legroom didn't warrant an extra £250.

The outbound leg on Wednesday am ran smoothy, straight through security (5.20am), boarded on time, slight delay on push back but arrived AMS on time.
The inbound leg yesterday teatime was delayed at AMS because they had snow as we finished boarding and the pilot wanted de-icing. We landed 25 mins late but I was on my way home within 20 mins.

Following discussions on this forum, it was interesting that we used the airbridge on both flights.

I flew LBA-WRO last Friday with FR. My flight was at 09:30 so I took buses up to LBA for £4 rather than £30ish for a taxi. 10 mins wait for security, just 1 lane in use but it was flowing fine. Went into WHSmiths and got into a friendly debate with other travellers when I saw that a pack of polo’s were £1.99 or 3 for £5 😳
In my head polo’s are still 10p. Flight was almost full with 186 on board. Flight time of 1hr50mins. Landed into WRO and was surprised to see a LOT 787-9 parked next to us. Apparently they have a weekly direct flight WRO-ICN 🇰🇷. I do love the terminal building at WRO. Not that big but modern and well laid out. I again got the local bus into the city for 92p. Service runs every 15mins, everyday, 04:00-00:00.
Returned to LBA on the Saturday evening. I couldn’t get the exact figure but I’d say around 170 on board. After another flight of 1hr50mins we landed 15mins early at 18:30. Perfect I thought as there was a A1 into Leeds at 19:00…an hourly service at this time in the evening, but obvs, LBA had other ideas. We parked on stand 8 but tonight we had to be coached to the arrivals door. 20 mins it took to cram 170 onto 2 buses for the 100m journey. Again, roll on May when hopefully all this should be a much smoother arrivals process. Up the stairs to join the immigration queue. 5 desks open but by this time I’d missed the 19:00 A1. Luckily Greggs was open so I got some food and waited for the 20:00 bus. Bus arrived at 19:45. By this point 2 buses, A2&A3 had both departed empty to Bradford, I didn’t realise there are 2 services to Bradford. By the time we left at 20:00 it was standing room only. I’ve said it before but this service into Leeds needs bigger buses or more services instead of the current hourly one in the evenings.

I’ve just booked a day trip to Iceland 🇮🇸 for the 26th March. Jet2 LBA-KEF for an incredible £36. Morning and lunchtime in Reykjavik then coach to the Blue Lagoon in the afternoon before back to the airport for the 19:50 easyJet to MAN which was £49.

There are currently around 9 dedicated Flyer buses to cover the three services. These will shortly be replaced with 15 brand new Mercedes-Benz Citaro Hybrid single deckers. The current Optare Versas on the route seat 38 (plus loads standing) and I wouldn’t expect the Mercs to seat any more, especially as 3 seats are lost over the non-hybrid version due to the hybrid equipment. The good news looks to be that as they’re replacing 9 buses with 15 the frequency hopefully will increase.

I flew FR LBA-OTP-LBA last week for 2 nights in Bucharest. Both flights operated on Max’s and I’d say 95% full. Both flights parked on stand 8 so no buses required this time. LBA easy to pass through with no queues at security outbound and immigration inbound. Caught the train from OTP into the centre of Bucharest, £2 for a return ticket for a 25 min ride. On arrival back into LBA I got my taxi to pick me up at the Travelodge thus saving me £7 if he’d have picked me up from the drop off area. When I got a taxi up there on Wednesday morning he dropped me at the free 1hour drop off point with an easy walk up to the terminal with just carry on baggage. It’s still crazy that I pay £20 for a taxi from Farnley to LBA then £14.99 for a 3 hour flight🤷🏼‍♂️

There definitely needs to be better and stricter screening at all airports to prevent the obvious drunks from boarding. Much easier to deal with them on the ground than in the air where they are a danger to themselves, other passengers and the safety of the aircraft.

He was very drunk at the gate. No idea why they let him onto the coach. He was one of a small group on a day trip. Others were better behaved.

I flew LBA-KEF this morning with Jet2, back into MAN with easyJet this evening.
Got the 05:00 A1 from Leeds with no problems which got me to LBA around 05:40 No queue at all for security. As someone else has already noticed there are now 4 electronic boarding card gates in the security corridor. All working but not yet in use. I had security to myself so was through in no time at all.
78 on board with a flight time of 2hrs 20mins. Usual spot on service from Jet2. Back into Manchester later on a A321Neo.

That's literally a "flying visit"! A shame that it was a less that 50pc load-factor. i'd be interested to know how many are on your return flight to Manchester.

78 onboard is a very disappointing load factor. I’m sure j2 must do the numbers and it must be profitable for them to run the short series they do, but 78 out of 189 is 41.2% which seems dire. Ideal route for easyjet from LBA👍

I’m trying out a few EDT’s (Extreme Day Trips) I booked the Jet2 flight in January for £36 and it was still selling at that price yesterday.
My easyJet flight back tonight is on a A321 and is showing a dozen unoccupied seats on the seat map.

It’s worth taking into account that this week is the last week for flights to Keflavik for the season with the last one on Sunday so I’d expect them to be quieter but I believe other flights have been mostly full throughout the season.

Quick trip for work to flew out to BFS on the 8.15pm EZY on Wednesday 26th march evening, nice and quiet at the terminal even Tho was only 3 departures after 7pm - could not see much downstairs in departures as was closed off overall quite pleasant experience, sat in the upstairs bar the outbound flight to Belfast flight I counted 78 pax outbound & return flight yesterday was almost full could see just a few empty seats

Overall impressed with EasyJet service Leeds to Belfast International hopefully it will grow

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
