I flew LBA-BVA-LBA with FR Friday & today. New boarding card scanner gates were all open and working on Friday evening. No problems at all. Flight to BVA was almost full with 182 on board.
Return to LBA hassle free…apart from the 2am alarm call to catch the airport coach from central Paris up to Beauvais which took 75 mins this morning. Quiet flight with 58 on board. A friend picked us up and she parked in the 1hour free parking. Walked past the new extension with plenty of activity going on with the cladding & walkway both being worked on.

A new record, through LBA security in 30seconds! Liking the new boarding pass scanners and all staff nice a friendly. Just sat in departures awaiting fr9079 to ALC
The terminal extension development is looking great as you enter airport.
How? It takes more than 30 seconds to remove your belt and empty your pockets, never mind standing in the body scanner!

Been on the sangria?:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I went through 0645 Sat 12/4 and it was ok, queue moving, bottle neck at the trays as people not prepared etc but all in all much better than when the queue was down the corridor and into the check in area.

Truth! Only one more pax in front of me as i went thru security, i had tracky bottoms on so no belt and just a few pound coins in my pocket what i dumped into the tray with my small under seat bag! The scanners did not beep, i literally just walked straight thru, So there!!!! Haha
On a side note what a day it was here in spain yesterday, the whole country inc portugal and france without power for 7hrs! Totally bizzare with currently no real explanation!

Is the problem security or the boarding pass scanners? Let us know when u get there.

Check-in was problem as the kiosks weren’t working and they only had 2 desks open.

Even though the was a bug que We actually ended up flying through the scanners & 4 lanes open in security.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
