I can be totally (practically) flexible, but am not flying from LBA until November. I am taking advantage of Flybe setting up at DSA for my Airport trips.
Don't worry, LBA will always be my first choice if I can use it.

Got Jet2 flights booked to FAO booked at the end of August for me and the family. Still in school holidays so shopped around a lot for the best deal (including looking at MAN flights) Thankfully there wasn't a great deal in it when it came to final prices and the convenience of LBA won out easily. Having just got back from Dalaman via MAN I have to say I am really looking forward to getting back to LBA!

Just booked Aer Lingus business from LBA to JFK for later in the year. The same dates with KLM were 80% more expensive and BA was 60% more expensive. Even the direct flights from MAN couldn't compete on price, or come even close. In fact Delta from MAN was exactly double the Aer Lingus price from LBA.

Dad and step-side of the family going out to Nice towards the end of June. Looked all over the north and Jet2 came out the cheapest (positive) but a £100 per person price difference between Manchester and Leeds swayed the decision to go from across the hill (negative). So in this respect it says something when Yorkshire's own airline's price strategies (cheaper operating costs) suggested fly from Manchester instead!

Jet2 won't mean to be suggesting flying from Manchester over Leeds Bradford, the more likely reason I would say is there cheaper from Manchester would be they have more competition from Manchester for routes than they do Leeds Bradford so that could possibly be the reason it's £100 cheaper.

Yep this is what I meant loosely associated with operating costs.

Jet2 are he only operator on MAN-NCE, so, it's not down to competition on that route.....

Could be that the Leeds aircraft is more heavily booked as prices seem to go up on a sliding scale as the aircraft fills.

or that over at MAN they may be using a 737-800 and have more seats too fill?

Went out to AMS on Tuesday afternoon on LS205. No queues at LBA and an excellent flight, arriving 15 mins early. Aircraft about half full which looked a bit sparse on a 737 but would have looked healthy on something like an E-Jet. Came back tonight on LS206. Departed on time and arrived a few minutes early. 90 on board according to the crew. There was a bit of a queue at immigration as two or three aircraft had landed in short succession but it moved remarkably well .. through in a few minutes. I fortunately had only cabin baggage so did not have to endure the 'scrum' that was the overcrowded baggage hall. Doubt it would have been a pleasant experience for those awaiting bags and highlights once again the inadequacy of the terminal at busy times.

Dusseldorf in July for a stag do. Unfortunately no early flight form LBA so were going out via MAN on flybe (hoping for the e-jet). Coming back into LBA on jet2.

:wtf:

Have three flights with Jet2 to malaga and one with Monarch in October who seemed to have forgotten school holidays.
In addition using Ryanair to Krakow.
Already booked march and April 2017 with Jet2, just need summer flights to be released to sort out the bulk of 2017 flights.
All from LBA

Just booked two tickets to bangkok with BA. Unfortunately no connections in either direction from LBA so having to go from MAN worst luck.

I think what we need is more connections via #Europe. (if that's still going to be easy enough to do if we come out of Europe??? (Should the UK be in or out of the EEC? Forums4airports Poll) #takepart

We need KLM to be bold and double it's LBA offering to #Amsterdam. It might seem far fetched doubling flights to Amsterdam but statistically we are losing so many long haul passengers to other airports. If LBA could keep only a small percentage of those passengers by having more availability of flights via Amsterdam or other airports in Europe, we'd claw many of these passengers back.

Even a BA service connecting at LHR replicating the old BM timetable with a 07.00 departure and a 22.00 late arrival would pick up significant numbers of long haul and short haul EU passengers who currently have to go to Manchester.
4 daily rotations from KLM offer good connections to most destinations - an increase would be good but for me we would see most benefit from an expansion by BA - or Lufthansa to Frankfurt or similar.
(On my last trip to Houston there were 14 passengers travelling LBA-AMS-IAH - 14!!!)

I have just booked Warsaw Modlin - Leeds in November. For convenience, I am flying out from Doncaster with Wizz as they offer a Friday morning flight.

Just flown back from Barcelona with Jet2 today. Check in at BCN a breeze - no queue, aircraft 5 minutes late on stand and pushed back within 35 minutes of arriving at stand and into LBA early at 14.40, passport done and bags collected and in an airport taxi by 15.00! What I would say is that only 97 on board which is the lowest I've seen on this route (probably helped the express turnaround) but full on the way out. I'm wondering if 3x inbound BCN - LBA flights on a Friday are starting to hit loads?

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
