Just noticed another Czech Airlines flight from Cagliari this afternoon, what are these flights for ????


Talking about Czech Airlines, they do seem a bit of an odd airline at the minuite if im being honest.

I mean Edinburgh to Prague via some other eastern european city, cant see that one being very successfull ?????

Now there is a rumour of them starting MAN when they serve LPL ??????

Oh well we could still see them back at BHX one day i suppose but i wouldnt want them back if they are unpredicatable as the above suggests. Id rather see somebody like Norweigan/Monarch or even Flymaybe.

It was most likely ZZ331 which departed just after 11am.

Well Mr K did say they were talking to an Eastern European airline. When he mentioned tough competition from Bristol we all assumed it was Wizz but I see no reason why it may not be CSA?

Probably going back to Brize when jfy1999 saw it.

It is due to land at about 1555.

I saw the Blue Air arrive at around 14:00.

I was in Kitts Green at the time and could only just read the writing. I thought it said Blue Air but couldn't work out why they'd be here.

N384AA,B763 of AAL has just landed.
I assume it is to operate the outbound AAL131 as the original aircraft N191AN has gone tech!

From what I have managed to find out the AA9262 (the 763) is a ferry flight ex MAN to cover for the tech 757. Handy having a spare wide body lying around isn't it?

The drawback is that the 763 has nicked the stand EK normally use for the EK040 so a fair bit of kit has had to be re-positioned. Also does BHX have a stock of AA bins / pallets and will the catering be able to be transferred straight across? I can see the 767 being on the ground for about 1-2 hours while these little issues are sorted out.

Apologies for being slightly off topic,but Vulcan XH558 is doing a nation wide tour over the weekend.This being probably it's last season in an airworthy condition.
It is due over Cosford on Sat.27th at about 1523 and EMA at about 1537.
On Sun28th it is due over COV at about 1325.It will then route out to Wellesbourne.
It is possible while in local airspace to do a fly past @ BHX but a lot will depend on various factors.
Might be worth looking out for if anyone is in the areas mentioned,or if you have an air band radio listen out for it.It may or may not fly over BHX,but as things stand it may well be the last time you will see a V-Bomber fly!!

Well. The AA 763 has pushed back from the terminal and is being moved over to the 80's. Doesn't look as though it will be going anywhere today. Is it possible they have positioned her to cover for tomorrows flight with whatever passengers left from today? Did not see anything loaded on board while at the stand (neither catering / bags or cargo) even though the rear door was open for most of her time on the ground. So we now have a matched pair of colour schemes on the 80's. A 757 and the bigger sibling a 767. I have not heard anything about what problem stopped the 757 operating today. Has anyone else heard any whispers?

Apparently the B767 had developed a leak of some description,either oil or fuel,not sure which.
The fire service had been called out to investigate and make sure that there was no other problems,and possibly to clean up the spill.

It was an oil leak from what I hear.

The 767 went tech up at MAN yesterday and had to spend the night there so with two planes now grounded at BHX it's not been a great couple of days for AA.

Hi Ray.

Just been given the same story with it being a fuel leak which is why the Fire Service attended. As you say not a very good two days for AA but possibly a good weekend's work ahead for Monarch Engineering!
