Turkmenistan Airlines 738 EZ-A016 will be arriving in the next 20mins on a delivery flight from Goose Bay, due to depart around midday.

It might not happen but just read on twitter that an A380 should be flying into BHX on Tuesday! The tweet came from a pilot who flys from BHX and is apparently giving up a day of gliding to watch it. Like I said it might not happen but thought I would give you guys a heads up!

Be nice if true but can't see why. Emirates have no reason to send one, can't see one being needed for FRA or CDG and there's no reason I can think of why Airbus would send their own. Not saying it isn't going to happen just can't think why.

The annual Italian student charters have begun with Mistral Air and Small Planet 733's being used. Small Planet also subbed a Grand Cru Airlines 733 LY-BGC to operate the return leg from Skiathos, the aircraft was previously the Aurela Airlines 733 LY-SKA that left the runway at BHX when operating for Monarch.

Birmingham Airport arrivals is showing a Turkmenistan 737-700 TUA3210 from Goose Bay at 6:40 tomorrow morning. Flightaware shows the flight originating in Atlanta, the aircraft seems to be EZ-A007 which is the VIP configuration and was in the States for maintenance.

So it now seems to be out there that a BA A380 will be stopping by at the end of the month as part of the publicity tour (hopefully Hassan13 won't get too excited 😉 ). I heard speculation a couple of days ago that it will be on Monday 29th of July, I wondered if user001 was in a position to confirm that date is correct or will it all be revealed by BA in due course?

I will try and contain my excitement. 😉

It's also been mentioned that the BA 787 may come along as well (at some point).

I heard the 787 will be going to BA stations only, possibly the ones that won't see the A380, maybe user001 could confirm?

I also heard that the people from BA will be at BHX tomorrow to make arrangements for the A380 visit so hopefully there may be further information soon.

Nothing official but word is the BA A380 may not be arriving now.

Nothing official from BA yet as for some reason very few a privy to the A380 schedule, but several of my collegues as well as ground staff/cabin crew have been asked to take part in A380 ground trials on 28th/29th and 30th July, which would either indicate it s going nowhere for 3 days or perform a few pleasure flights.

According to the owners of a forum devoted to Welsh aviation the BA A380 is to visit CWL on Monday next the 29 July.

Some discussion on that forum as to whether the aircraft is actually too big for the taxiway corners.

Well, the original plan was to operate:

28th: MSE-PIK-SNN-STN
29th STN-BHX-CWL-MAN
30th MAN-LGW-MSE

Not sure if it is still relevant but things have changed that much God knows whats occurring now?!

I saw what I thought was the A380 making a sharp turn towards BHX (out of my window, while I was playing a video game  ).

It was quite far away so I couldn't see clearly, but it's not actually on the schedules that have been posted elsewhere so I must be wrong.

Don't think it's happening, there was a lovely approach and fly past by a VC10 this morning though.

A day left until Air India's triumphant return. 😉

I'm planning on heading down to grab a couple, although if the weather is anything like it's been today then they may not be the greatest quality.

It is gonna be HOT and Sunny tomorrow just to make Air India feel like home.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
LBA: Albastar B737-800 EC-MUB positioning in tommorow afternoon from Gatwick 15:45 to operate a charter to Lourdes/Tarbes on Friday afternoon 14:00 AP7721 STC
I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
