An airberlin Boeing 737-800 (D-ABKA) just arrived from Vienna as "BER134F".
It looks like Eastern are once more leasing AIS Jetstream 32s as PH-DCI is operating for them again.

I see some of the victims of the shooting in Tunisia were flown to BHX last night for treatment at the QE. I assume it was on an RAF C17?

RAF-Avia's YL-RAG arrived at 01:30 last night, maybe that was what was used. We had three AN-12s visit today-UR-CAH, UR-CGV and UR-CNN.

It seems as if RAF C17 ZZ177 was used, it left just before 01:00.

Todays Air Transat A330 is C-GTSN.

I've seen a hell of alot of freight aircraft coming and going over the last couple of days. I assume it has something to do with what's going on in France?

Tonights Aegean is SX-DGZ which is another new A320 fitted with sharklets.

It was CS-TRW and it arrived as YU619 from CDG. It may be operating for Monarch as Jet2 have CS-TFS operating for them from Manchester.

I've seen loads of freighters again today, I look forward to the round up to see the full list

I noticed Antonov 74 UR-CKC landed not too long ago, it's been a while since I've seen one of those.

Tonights Swiss is HB-IYU which the RJ100 in the Star Alliance livery.

Air Berlin 738 D-ABMD is on approach from MUC.

Apparently an IL76 is due at BHX tomorrow :hatsoff:

Nice. I think it's been a while since we've seen an IL76

Apparently today has seen 4x AN12's, 2X AN26's and the AN74 which was quite impressive when I saw it depart.

According to FR24 the Euro Atlantic 763 hasn't done any flying this evening, I wonder if it's positioned in to do some flights tomorrow.

We also had a first visit from Denim E145 PH-DND and a visit from Mistral 737 EI-DUA. Also there was another airberlin charter.
CS-TRW is parked on the Elmdon apron. They're everywhere at the moment. Star Air are using a EuroAtlantic 767 for cargo from EMA and Jet2 have one as I mentioned.
Beijing is our longest ever route of course, at 8,138 km, and the ETA is 06:17-much earlier than scheduled.

Firstly, hello to everyone from a long, long, long time BHX enthusiast/photographer and in the past, spotter.
I'm very interested in the recent freighter movements. Are these as a result of the cross channel ferry problems (on time delivery of car parts?) and if so what is the likelihood that the companies involved have found air freight more convenient/economical than road freight? I'd love to see them continue.
Currently, I live near Cambridge, so don't get to visit BHX as often as I would like. But I remain loyal to BHX.

Regards

Kevin

I've just seen the IL-76 fly over! It was Silk Way's 4K-AZ100 as flight ZP4110 from Prague.

Welcome to the forum Kevin and I believe that you're probably right about the cargo flights.

Hi Kevin and welcome to the forum.

It sure has been a great few days for all the cargo flights. From what I read they are because of the issues in France and also some to do with the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

I also saw the IL-76, it came directly overhead as I was driving along the Radleys. Quite an awesome sight

We had another visit from PH-MJP today. It landed a couple of minutes ago as DNM6272 from Lourdes.

CS-TRW looks like it might be departing. It appeared on the ground on FR24 as TVF310.

FR24 is showing Air India 77L VT-ALF operated the ATQ-DEL leg of todays AIC113. It could just be because that leg had particularly high loads today and doesn't necessarily mean that it will continue on to BHX but it's worth keeping an eye on.

Lots more freight flights again today it seems. I've seen Antonov departures already this morning.

Todays PK791 is 77W AP-BHW.
Todays AI113 is 787 VT-ANS

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
