Tomorrow mornings AA inbound is also cancelled. It's not great news at all if the loads are so bad that they're already cancelling flights :sad:

CA-TRW departed yesterday tom AMS but I believe it may be back later this evening.

Well cancelling flights will not do anything to increase loads if this is the reason ??


Do you have a feeling its to do with the loads or maybe just sick aircraft ?????

I've read elsewhere that loads haven't been great at all over the past few weeks. The source was far from an official one though.

Tommorrows inbound is cancelled meaning the two flights are effectively being combined on to tomorrows outbound. If both loads have been accommodated onto one flight then it doesn't look great but there could have been some coaches down to LHR today in which case it may not be too bad.

I've had a look at the AA website for this week and economy is close to sold out every day. Main Cabin Extra and Business look extremely light though but it's not uncommon for the premium seats to be sold last minute and not everyone pre books seats so more may have been sold. Of course this time of the year is not exactly peak season for business travel either and I'd bet many of those economy passengers will be heading down to Florida.

It's still early days though with the route only two months old :smile:

I was under the impression today's AA went tech as it was pulled onto a remote stand not long after 0900 am this morning.
I would be more concerned with the reliability issues on AAs older Boeings!!

So we have an American 757 parked up at BHX again. They are giving MAEL some nice little extra business.


I also read on a MAN thread that there ops so far this summer has been "dreadful" at that airport.

Many flights to JFK and ORD either cancelled or delayed and also having to share T3 with Flybe and Ryanair also isnt going down very well.

I really want AA to do well at BHX, lets hope this is a blip and things get better for them.

SX-DGV is operating the AEE636/7 tonight.
I believe it is a first visit and FR24 is showing it in an all white scheme with Aegean titles.

If the loads are going to be combined it could mean a 767 or something larger. If not, well, that's that then. But I am hopeful!

I don't think the source Ray saw was anything more than a rumour if the AA website is anything to go by. I think that despite all their technical issues the 757s should really stay on as they're the ideal size for BHX operations right now.

Unfortunately this is another case of the aircraft best suited to BHX being phased out or near the end of their lives. We've got it with Brussels Avros, Eurowings CRJ900s and now 757s from more than one airline. You have to wonder what will replace them.

On a more positive note it was great to see four 777s in a day and hopefully we will be seeing five a day come August if Turkmenistan come good 🙂

Just straying slightly from the above subject,but I read somewhere that LH Cityline (CLH)are moving their ERJ195 over to Austrian Airlines,to replace Fokker 70/100s.
In their place CLH are getting more CRJ900s.
With 2 of our daily MUC flights being A319s,I wonder what will operate the late afternoon flight,As,correct me if i am wrong but a CRJ is a step down from an ERJ.

I believe that is the case, but I think the A319s will make up for the difference.

What we should really be concerned about is the Germanwings/Eurowings flights as Cityline's CRJ900s will be moved from Germanwings, leaving Germanwings without CRJs. I suppose that they may be replaced with Eurowings' new Airbus A320 aircraft as Germanwings will have handed over the flights by next year, but that will raise the issue of frequency and load factors...

I must say that sounds more plausible. Do you know if any pax were taken to other airports or were they all put up in a hotel? I'm more concerned about tomorrow mornings inbound being canx as it's not good if both loads fit on one aircraft.

With regard to Munich the LH website is showing 2 x A319 and 1x E195 throughout winter so I assume there will be some for this period? Next summer doesn't look as if it's been loaded yet as it still shows 3x E195.

CS-TRW is returning to BHX. It's arriving from Amsterdam using the call sign CND119P.

I still don't know why it keeps visiting though! :s_dunno

I heard today that the AA flight was canx due to lack of crew and nothing to do with loads so hopefully that's the case.

There seems to have been quite a few interesting movements today.

I saw an RAF 146 arrive this afternoon along with Aer Lingus A321 EI-CPG. I believe there was also a Sun Air aircraft in this afternoon.

Hainan used B-2492 again.

SX-DGT,A321 is on the AEE636/7 tonight.Correct me if I am wrong ,but isn't this one of the ex MON aircraft.
Also has anyone heard of any other aircraft upgrades over the next couple of weeks with schools breaking up this week?
Hope to get to the airport over the next few days to get some photos,so any heads up would be very much appreciated.

According to airfleets.net SX-DGT used to be G-OZBP. Was this the one that after getting the Aegean livery then spent a few weeks parked up at BHX over the winter?

As for upgrades Turkish will be using plenty of A321's next week and Brussels Airlines are using some A319's. I'm sure there will be more.

Having a quick browse at some websites and there are plenty of sold out flights, Air India, SAS etc... but no upgrades as yet.

SAS have actually downgraded several flights to the CRJs. Is that usual for the time of year? And yes, G-OZBP was that A321 that spent so long here in Aegean livery 🙂

Monday: Zakynthos, Las Palmas

Tuesday: Dalaman, Izmir

Wednesday: Mahon, Dalaman

Thursday: Enfidha, Bodrum

Friday: Paphos, Antalya

Saturday: Antalya, Faro, Izmir

Sunday: Kalamata, Dalaman

It's probably because it's the only A320 in amongst the A321's so if it keeps to the same routes they can sell the exact number of seats.
