I can't believe nobody has managed to get a photo of the aircraft yet.

Noticed quite a bit of promotional stuff around LBA for the new SAS service. Even the landside Travelex desk has a notice on the counter for a promotional rate on Danish Krona! Fingers crossed for it becoming a success, booked on twice in the coming months.

Does anyone know how loads have been ? Is the route selling well?

Last Fridays LBA-CPH about 30 pax.
Last Mondays LBA-CPH 45 pax I think.

Not bad but need to improve. Having said that I expect the figures to rise as the summer progresses.

Thanks for the reply. As you say not bad - the return is approx 50% load factor and hopefully if the pricing is right there will be a decent yield.

If prices have been high from the onset they should be achieving a good yield already with a 50% load factor?

morning all

Well I guess we'll be able to get the figures for the month on the CAA stats if they're available.

Had a friend fly to Billund from Heathrow via Manchester yesterday. The Dornier 328 aircraft was full with a large number sporting Arla logo’s on clothing, bags etc.

As their UK HQ is in Leeds, I wonder if SAS could tap into this market via Copenhagen or if the convenience of flying direct to Billund from Manchester out weights it.

Having done both, its actually much easier to go to Man and fly to Billund. It takes several hours to drive from Copenhagen as the roads are not that good. Having said that there's hardly any traffic on roads in Denmark. Some friends of mine use the flight (Sun Air) from MAN regularly and it always seems to have good load factors. IThey always use Avios for their flights as its not a cheap route.

My old company operated a flight between Copenhagen and Billund to transport the parcels due to poor road connections after initially dropping Billund as a destination and trying truck transport to Copenhagen.
Same situation exists between Helsinki and Tampere in Finland which is not much distance but difficult by road.

They will have lost the passengers that were returning on Monday's flight as well. Passengers are not going to be happy.
I believe it has been operated by a CR2 for the last 2 Fridays so numbers must be less than 50.
I agree with LBASpotter, it does not bode well.

Don't get the wrong idea about the cancelation, it was due to lack of crew not lack of passengers

Oh well never mind if that's the reason why yesterday flight was cancelled. I suppose the Leeds service was picked due to the low passenger number of the CRJ and ease of transferring them all on to the Manchester's A320/B737's service?

At least the pax got there first taste of the fills of been disrupted and joys of a coach ride to Manchester!

First post for me-the Copenhagen flights are as far as I can tell doing surprisingly well considering a two times a week service. The highest I've seen to date is over 60 and they are often in the 30's and 40's. In my mind a positive start

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
