And for my trip to Berlin in October, also with Easyjet, booked myself into this beauty. Never stayed in a skyscraper hotel before, woooooooah look at those aviation warning lights. They could cause serious damage 🤣🤣🤣

Enjoy your trips Brum x Berlin has a really interesting history mostly for all the wrong reasons. We've got two trips booked from BHX, Verona on a Tui (Fly4) 738 in June then Fly cruise to Bridgetown in December with P&O on a TUI charter 789.

Verona is June 12th so we should be experiencing the new security operation which hopefully will have had the bugs sorted out from the June 1st start - not holding my breath on that one.

Flying to JSI with Jet2 on 19th June. The flight is too early to be able to buy a queue-buster ticket, so I hope them lifts are working!! 🙂
I hope they're working too as flying to TIV with Jet2 on 13th June 🤞

I wouldn't worry about the lifts working, I would worry how many people they allow into the lifts. But hey the new security hall will be operational and there will be no more queues anyway. Oh look a flying pig ha ha

Europa league final in Dublin 22nd May
If anyone fancies a cheap air day spotting trip I have just booked Ryanair BHX-DUB on 22/5 for £39 plus seat selection if wanted.Out 0745/0850 back 2140/2245.There are 4 foreign teams in the semi finals from France,Italy and Germany so would expext plenty of charters and biz-jets.Regards,Simon.

Dublin is a funny one now, used to be great with 1 runway and Arrivals and Departures, however not sure how it works now, it looks like from some other youtube videos that most of the arrivals land on the old runway and departures from the new runway, is this correct ?

I used to like seeing the departures from the old runway, however I think (similar to MAN), when the morning rush is over, then they revert back to using the old runway for Departures and Arrivals ?

I fully expect the cost of queue-busters to go over £50 before the end of July 🤣🤣

Hope this is allowed just got back from this, BHX-MUC-SIN, SIN-PER, PER-MEL, MEL-ASP, ASP-BNE-CNS, CNS-BNE, BNE-HTI, HTI-BNE, SYD-CHC, AKL-YVR, YVR-MUC-BHX. Lufthansa, Scoot, Jetstar, Qantas, Air New Zealand. Lufthansa top notch, Scoot/Jetstar/Qantas fine, Air New Zealand great service but awful product. Best aircraft A350 all day long. Best airport lounge Auckland, most disappointing Munich. Best airport Singapore. Really don’t want to slate BHX but boy is it tired in comparison to just about all of the others

Great trip incurring a full cross section of world airports. I particularly liked the fact that you experienced the opposite spectrums of Changi and Hamilton Island and I totally agree that arrival at BHX is deflating to a degree. Just a lick of paint there would improve the experience 100%.

Ive requested the highest floor possible ;-)
I was once told the best floor to be on to appreciate the view was around the 15th floor depending on whether it was office grade or residential. I tested the theory out in Leeds' Bridgewater place which is a mixed used tower and the advise was certainly correct. You lose the skyline above around the 18th floor unless your surrounded by high rise buildings. So you may find you lose the visual impact of the view out of the window any higher.

Just returned from a lovely few days in Berlin, flew with Easyjet who were IMO superb, the app made the whole thing really easy and is pretty idiot proof given i could work it. Berlin Airport really is something, departed the plane at 1006, was sat on the S Bhan at 1015. Both flights looked pretty much full, would guess the LFs were over 90%.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
