Hainan Airlines

Re: Hainain airlines

That CAPA article is all subjective.

It is only already reported news mixed in with their own opinion.

Hainan Airlines themselves have said they will serve Manchester, back when they launched Paris. Also, they have not applied to serve LHR, just London.

The article means nothing.

Re: Hainain airlines

Hey guys,
Any news when we will see this route launched or will it be launched? Haven't heard anything for a while now..?

Re: Hainain airlines

They do need to speed this announcement up, as tickets need to be sold like 'cathay pacific' have shown.

Re: Hainain airlines

Ye i dont know whats going on are MAG still struggling with the STN route with LGW still protesting and making better offers to Hainan. I hope this wont affect the MAN route if they do start LGW.I remember Qantas pulling MAN QF09 in the 1980s and putting the flight into LHR then flying the passengers down from MAN. But really BA axed the Gatwick shuttle last year so cant see that happening really,Lets all hope an anannouncement will come soon in next few weeks :s_yes

Re: Hainain airlines

Slots have now become fully avilable according to different sources... Let's wait and see but T1 is looking as if the desired terminal 😆

Re: Hainain airlines

Hainan announcement expected by mid-Feb at the latest according to Ken O'Toole.

Can wait for this one user001. Also who would most likely make the annoucment first? Hainan or manchester as this will pop the champagne bottle! :dirol: 😀

Re: Hainain airlines

Many other forums are concerned with why hainan airlines haven't still made this Annoucment which is now getting abit worrying one must think if they have pulled out or something?
Something's not right!
Any thoughts people?

Hainan this year are doing the run of charters from Bhx this year 2a week mon-fri through July Aug. So i think MAN hasn't sealed the deal with Hainan.A post on an other site says all cargo bookings has disappeared from gds system.

Well I guess there's still a chance China Southern might take on the route? They were expected to announce flights from BHX but it looks like Hainan are operating there instead.

To be honest Mr Cornish did say at Christmas tho that there would be a announcment in 2-3 months time which would take us to march. So i think there is still time but it will be a W15 start time. And think it will be either Hainan or Air China or both who knows ?

According to Dnata, they are still expecting to handle Hainan at Manchester from June 1st, all contracts are still active.

The flights are still going ahead by all accounts now, just for reference, Hainan announced San Jose last week for a June 1st start, so, there is still time.

Just scrolling through hainan airlines on facebook and came across a picture 1 week ago and a chinese woman has written that the manchester service would be now beginning in may this year? Comment was written 2 hours ago and according to her account she lives in Beijing. I think we should still keep our hopes high for this one if general public know from that far... 😆

Reported elsewhere it won't be starting until the winter now, all reference to MAN-PEK has disappeared from GDS and no sign of cargo bookings either.

Cargo bookings now seem to be back up and Dnata are adamant that it will start June 1st.

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
