Cargo bookings now seem to be back up and Dnata are adamant that it will start June 1st.

Hi what is exactly coming up in cargo? And what did dnata say 😆

Read the tweets on airlineroutes about hainan starting the manchester service as I have gone into detail with them but they said its not a done deal with manchester airport :search:

I know people saying all is in place but i have no faith in this starting in MAN. But dont think BHX has stole the flight from MAN because these are charter flights and not scheduled. We all have to really be patient and keep our fingers crossed .

There is now an embargo on all Hainan Manchester news.

99% of the time, it means an announcement about the subject is imminant.

Ive just read the announcement will be tomorrow from Hainan? fingers crossed

I have read this too andy, let's wait and see as this has had lots of twists and turns through the whole puzzle. Can't wait for this one though!!! :drinks: :drinks: :drinks:

Any further developments user001

Hainan are announcing something regarding MAN tomorrow, but, no clue as to what it is (It could just be an announcement about an annuncement).

MAN top brass are in Nice at the moment, so, unlikely to be a press confrence, and, after all this chasing, I would have thought MAN would have announced this with some fanfare.

I wonder what's keeping Hainan to open this Route? :dirol:

Now been told there will be no announcement until at least May time.

No idea whats gone so wrong, as, this route was all but confirmed with all handling contracts in place, hotel deals signed, slots booked etc.

Will certainly be interesting to see why this one has now fallen by the wayside.

It could be just a small sticking point like lack of available stands. Maybe the Airline would rather not have its passengers sat waiting for a stand and being inconvenienced by this. Maybe (probably) MAG can not guarantee that this will not be the case.

I think we can forget Hainan for this year now.its been reported via emails on this site and others that the only european new routes for 2015 will be Rome-Tel-aviv.

I decided to Also email hainan in Europe yesterday and got this reply

"Dear customer,

Thanks for your email and your support.
So far we haven't receive updated exact announcement. Relevant business issues are getting prepared and will release on our official website for initial launch with our Manchester UK flight. Kindly please note our website information. Thanks."

Certainly a lot of confusing and conflicting messages coming from Hainan......

Its been reported that there may be a hold
up with the new bilateral agreement between China-uk.If so that might be whats holding up an Hainan announcement

Yes this is what they are now saying on facebook that the ANNOUCMENT will me made in May with a september ANNOUCMENT...
I thought it was crap at first but clearly not... :aggressive:
