Have read on other forum's that TUI may have acquired or possibly leased the Monarch hangar. Anyone heard anything?
Hold your horses ..........Flybe, gainjet and TUI have used the hangar since MAEL went under.Once you see TUI 787's in there for 3 weeks or more then its time to cream your pants.

Those responsible for the sale of the hangar did say that they would seek some short term storage from third parties whilst it went through.

Agadir is now bookable again for S20, good to see that the route won't be lost.

Marsa Alam is also bookable for summer but I can't remember if that was that always the case with TUi or if it was originally winter only?

I think Marsa Alam was winter only - looks like they’ve picked it up from TCX.

Even if Air Arabia do decide to pull out like many other airlines in the last few years, it will be good to see Agadia off the non-served routes list.

It was a complete farce right down to total ineptitude by swissport no buses on arrival, bags took 50 mins no one else in arrivals hall and then put bags on wrong carousel, Tui nowhere to be seen at LPA, service levels are so so poor yet people just put up with it.

It's just TUI for you! They probably have the most aircraft coming in comparing to Jet2 and Thomas Cook but still the worst!

looks like the extra ad-hoc aircraft might have finished now as TUI should have enough aircraft now for the summer.

The 2nd Olympus A321 SX-ACP ferried to BHX early Monday to be based along side SX-ACY, whilst the 3rd Olympus A321 SX-ABQ flew AYT-ATH-EMA also early Monday morning presumably to be leased to TUI as well (Manchester based?)

B757 G-OOBG flew to Manchester also Monday, to re-enter service for TUI after maintenance.

Perhaps more of WAMOS and HiFLY if Dreamliner is grounded given latest woes from BOEING and something special from Air India and Qatar....fingers and other bodyparts crossed!!

Hi Jenny, are you referring to the landing gear issues that have been reported on the 787?

I'm not sure 787s will be grounded, at least not on the scale of the 737 max, given that the issues have been discovered before any major incidents and that they reportedly affect only 87 airframes on the US register.

Whilst i get it from a spotters point of view for something different, from a TUI point of view/customer view and industry, this is not something we need right now. MAX's are enough for the industry to cope with, let alone 787's. Thankfully, its certain ones from what i read, and its maintenance that needs performing. So if there is slack built into the airlines that have this frames schedules, you will not see any Subbing or cancellations. I don't think TUI are affected. Thankfully.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
