TUI summer 2022 schedules currently indicating 10 based aircraft:-

1 B789 for long haul
1 B788 for short haul flights Monday-Saturday, & Long Haul Sunday
3 B7M8 Max's
5 B738's

+ i extra 787 on Wed/Thu to operate to Cancun & Orlando Melbourne (04/05/22-09/06/22 & 13/07/22-27/10/22)

also showing an extra B738 needed for Wednesday only, so doubt this will happen, so might see a Kos or Boa Vista flight removed before summer starts.

Monday Marrakesh flight also dropped, so leaves one gap on a Monday morning for a possible extra B7M8 flight?

I quite like TUi, they've always been pleasant enough and I love(d) the 757

On our last trip to LPA they gave us an A332 out and 744 back due to the issues with the MAX

I never got to fly on a 767 though which is disappointing.

Yes now showing as an B738 all summer.

should indeed be a Max on both your Las Palmas flights


Current TUI summer based fleet for BHX now showing 1 B789, 1 B788, 2 B737 Max's, 7 B738's & 1 extra B788 on Wed/Thu/Fri

Uncertain if any of the B738's will be Sunwing aircraft at present

Morning all,

I have a Tui flight back from Arrecife to Birmingham on the 9th May. The front cabin is showing nine abreast seating and eight rows. At present, I think all Tui 787-8's are seven abreast with seven rows in the front cabin. Anyone know of any cabin modifications coming or is this a 787 on loan??

Any clarification would be helpful

I've seen a report elsewhere that TUI are leasing 787 capacity on a ACMI bases (aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance) if that info is correct maybe they are wet leasing an aircraft with an all tourist class nine abreast layout?

Like I say just from a post on other site, it's also on the CH Aviation website but behind a pay wall so I haven't been able to read the detail.

Not yet their two 787s are due shortly (spring) so the time scale fits, so who knows will post if I see anything.

Rollo Their own 787 deliveries are delayed (in store at VCV) as are ALL 787 due problems at Boeing, there is going to be a leased in 787 based at MAN but very much doubt it will be anything of interest.

According to a article in Simply Flying dated 5th Feb Euro Atlantic are acquiring two ex Aeromexico 788s currlently in the Arizona desert being prepared for delivery this summer. They were manufactured in 2013 so unlikely to be effected by Boeings current problems.

They may or may not have something to do with Karl's question, just suggesting as a possibility.

I've seen a report elsewhere that TUI are leasing 787 capacity on a ACMI bases (aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance) if that info is correct maybe they are wet leasing an aircraft with an all tourist class nine abreast layout?

Like I say just from a post on other site, it's also on the CH Aviation website but behind a pay wall so I haven't been able to read the detail.

In the early days of the 787, TUI did operate a couple of aircraft as short-haul only in the summer in an all-economy (9 abreast) layout. However, the recent news would suggest it’ll be an ACMI aircraft.
