My post was quite general and as applicable to bad airport management as unnecessary surgery.

Your post: " I think sites like this are peopled by enthusiasts who think they know any and everything about airlines and airports." seems quite general too, and not specific to computer glitches. A little less arrogant, eh Richard....

I emailed Emirates customer services yesterday morning about the disappearance of A380 from the timetable, with no reply so far - probably meaning there won't be one. If there is I'll post it here just for info, though it obviously doesn't matter any more!

I read elsewhere, that there were 580 pax inbound on today's A380. A6-EOP being configured with 615 seats, gives a 94.3% LF :wideyed:.
This brings me to another point (or rather a question). It is often said that the evening Emirates service is the busiest of the three. Is this true for both the inbound and outbound flights?

Cheers

Kevin

Guessing that means only airport and airline staff know!

Will have to fly on an A380 one day! Maybe from BHX. Had one pass right over me on the M25 landing at LHR yesterday,it was a brilliant sight!

She's a beauty. In Oct. 2010 I had the pleasure of flying Sydney to Los Angeles on a Qantas A380 just a couple of weeks before the Qantas engine explosion and fan casing rupture (marvellously managed by them and a tribute to the A380's redundancy of controls). I was in business class upstairs and frankly if we hadn't been looking out the window we would not have known we were moving and take-off was only a change in cabin angle!

Better late than never, here's this morning's reply:

Hello Ric,

Thanks for your kind email.

We've planned to operate EK 37 and EK38 from/to Birmingham with our Airbus 380 aircraft.
There'll be a change to the time of operation from 26th March 2017, though.

Do let me know if you have further questions.

Best regards,

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
