Surely keeping all 3 Emirates flights is what we want . Id prefer 777 all day... cargo makes these flights pay

Having an A380 looks very good for BHX as i doubt
I think sites like this are peopled by enthusiasts who think they know any and everything about airlines and airports
I actually find this site very knowledgeable and informative and friendly! One of the reasons why I started to post on here was so i can learn about aviation and I find i'm learning a lot!(y)

Right, the A380 stays. Rather than delivering all sorts of conjecture by all sorts of experts, it was just a case of waiting....

I rest my case, your Honour...

I personally am very glad to see the swap between flights. For more than one reason:-
1. The "prestige" of having the A380 here at BHX cannot be underestimated. It shows that EK are determined to increase their footprint here at BHX and not just the so-called "main airports" in the UK.
2. Yes I will admit it will make my life easier with regards to cargo space but please bear in mind that I have been using the A380 on a regular basis and my flown as booked record remains the same (nigh on 100% which is absolutely fantastic both for me and my clients).
3. Looking to the future BHX has shown that we can handle this aircraft type without too many difficulties (yes I know about the issues regarding baggage but this is something that is moaned about at many different airports around the world. It is not something specific to BHX.). By showing that we can handle such an aircraft we have proven that other Airlines can bring their flights into and out of BHX which can only be good for the Airport.

I have high hopes that EK will look at their service level at BHX with pride and hopefully look to expand further (either with a 4th flight or increasing capacity on one of the other flights). At the end of the day cargo does not mind what aircraft it moves on and EK have proven (to me at least) that the A380 is a suitable aircraft to be used here at BHX. At the end of the day while cargo does have an input into the final figures for any Airline (except certain low cost ones obviously) it is the passenger figures which are the most important ones. I have said it before and I will keep on saying it once we get new services it is up to us to use it or loose it.

I am fairly sure that the Management team here at BHX will not take any dispute with this sentiment.

As i said i think there should less less criticism and more understanding..
More understanding is always a good thing, but more criticism is essential. Weeding out rogue surgeons, crooked politicians and other 'dodgy' people in positions of power can only be done by analysing their actions. I would encourage forum users to question anything that doesn't look quite right however little they may know about airports and airlines.

panic over.....

...although their schedule still shows 77W 3x daily. Does however appear to be a glitch in their system!

Come come Hay677, we are talking here about what may well transpire as being a computer glitch as regards the EK A380 service into BHX - a computer and an airline! This is an airline forum and not a general forum and comments and criticisms regarding politicians, surgeons et al are best placed somewhere else.

Don't let's get off-topic.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
