To me it seems that the quality of airline and airport press releases has been steadily deteriorating over the last few years.
There have been quite a few recently that have been really bad, non more so than that one posted on here from Thomas Cook.
I wonder if there is such a thing as proof reading anymore?
Proof reading is a really skilled job and good proof readers are hard to find and can summon large fees. People use the spell check when writing an article and think that is all that's needed. Our church magazine is supposed to be proof read but this month there are conflicting reports on " copy date" for next month - they are on the same page, one above the other!
. I believed in the importance of being correct especially in a court of Law. Appeals have been won or lost upon the correct use of language etc.
