Who says this is the final list of routes thunderchild?! I think it’s clear that Primera are slowly releasing their routes and A/c over time. We have no idea how many slots they may hold!

You’ll notice they have launched a “Summer Routes” page on their .co.uk page. Why go that that effort for just 2 new routes to Spain?

Is this the new based aircraft that has been aluded to in recent weeks?

Yes a new based B738 and maybe another one to follow ?

Great news, and for me totally unexpected.
Along with another based aircraft, which the following daily frequency -

PF2933/4

BHX 09:00 AGP 12:50
AGP 13:30 BHX 15:50

PF2937/8

BHX 16:45 PMI 20:05
PMI 21:05 BHX 22:35

should keep the aircraft well utilised.
Another point is that BHX will have Primera flight crews based that have different type ratings. I'm sure I read somewhere that a pilot cannot simultaneously hold B737 and A32X type ratings - though I might be wrong.

Commercial pilots can only operate 1 type ie 737 or airbus 32x etc, B757/767 is classed as 1 type though.

There is an article in the Mail suggesting that the new Spanish routes will be year round.

Malaga is a popular destination but I can't see Palma being daily in winter.

I may be getting ahead of myself but I wonder if there is scope for something to the Canaries or even some ski routes through the winter period?

I couldn't see Palma anymore than 2x weekly for winter.

Looking at some of the routes from other bases the Canaries seem pretty popular, any of them could probably do well for a bit of winter sun.

Looking at Skyscanner and Primera come top for PMI and AGP, £10 cheaper than Ryanair :)

Maybe you could get some late summer sun on the Costa del sol after all, but in October 2018 as i know your much anticipated holiday in October 2017 was cancelled due to Monrach. :)

Primera is bookable up until Sat October 27th which is the first day of half term, meaning I could book outbound flights but not the return yet. Norwegian used to do this and it drove me crazy, at least Jet2 managed to load an extra week.

Damn, how annoying

Could be worse, they could adopt the bizzare Easyjet strategy of loading their season in up to 3 segments a long time apart. When they don’t add new routes nor change frequencies that much, I just don’t understand why they do it. Bloody annoying!

When you are stuck to school holiday dates it's really annoying.

If we do decide on Malaga I may book Primera out and someone else return, I'm going to hold out for a bit though.

The October half term is a late one next year so if we do go away it'd be out on the weekend of Oct 27/28th and back the weekend after, Nov 3rd/4th.

This has to be one of the oddest route maps I've ever seen :)

Yes I think Primera are a great fit for BHX and now they are starting PMI & AGP it will give them a greater brand awareness. There are rumours that they want to base more (up to six) at BHX but siurcing aircraft may hold them back.
BHX seem reluctant to let Ryanair expand so maybe prefer Primera ?

Looking forward to seeing ATQ on the Primera Route Map, now that would be bonkers ;)

Pleased with the Malaga route. Already booked a trip with Ryanair for later in the year and need to go across in late February, so will look at Jet2’s & Ryanair’s pricing.
Hopefully get a third trip and try Primera. Have seen them at Malaga for a long time on their Scandanavian routes.

I've only looked at Malaga but there are some very good base fares to be had at the moment.

If they add Alicante I may be very tempted.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
