If they launch ALC I may be a user. Tied to certain dates and times for a trip in May, and all the prices from MAN have gone bonkers, while LPL doesn’t offer the times I want. Only going for 2nights but the flight only is the cost of a 7 night holiday at the moment!

Need to get the word out about these flights, they can make a killing!!!

Mmmmmmmm yes i agree with Montreal, Maybe popular from CDG.

I would rather have Washington or Philadelphia ??
I don't know. Montreal has always been close to being within our grasp and on the close but not quite there list. Being French speaking, however, always lends itself to A CDG connection.

If only the Neo could reach Vancouver!

I think we will see more European connections before transatlantic. They could be smart and come up with something very interesting. Italy secondary airports to Boston via BHX whilst satisfying the midlands to Italy demand?

Generally Montreal is the one major Canadian city that has least ties/demand to the UK and it’s currently only served from London (BA/AC from LHR and TS from LGW).

Historically I’m not sure if Montreal has been served from the UK regions. A few years ago TS tried it from Glasgow on the A310. It only lasted a few weeks before it was changed to a double drop with Toronto and even then the Montreal tag was cut before the season finished.

As said, a shame Vancouver is out range as I’m sure there is more opportunity there.

Great place, Western Canada and Vancouver is a wonderful city. My wife and I used to visit and tour British Columbia and Alberta. We're not interested in going to the USA again but said the other day we'd go back to Western Canada.

A BHX Vancouver flight would interest us very much so it's a pity if it's beyond Primera's range.

Only Vancouver and Calgary have the flows to support UK regional flying, and even the latter has dwindled to the point only London has flights at the moment. Halifax and St Johns has a regional UK/Ire flight but that’s more a transit stop for Toronto (Westjet) flight

Tell me about it Ian, we’re getting quite bored of that accolade on a fair few routes at MAN, haha.

There are rumours elsewhere of Montreal being added and Toronto possibly going daily...

I just hope they don't turn into another Fly Globespan expanding far too quickly into the long haul market leading to it's demise.

Sensible growth, reasonably priced and flying on some niche routes plugging some important gaps.

Washington and Montreal are both being evaluated for 2019.

“It would be either Washington [D.C.] or Montreal, or perhaps both. Those are the next two that I would expect to come out with a decision on for North America … I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw them coming in 2019.”

This is also interesting.

If the transatlantic services prove popular, other lengthy sectors such as Kenya, Gambia, Cape Verde, India and the Persian Gulf will be considered from Europe.

“We’re going to start on the transatlantic – get ourselves some good experience on long-range flights – and then definitely, if the traffic rights are in our favor, we will be moving east like we are moving west," the chief executive says.

So possibly some wide bodied aircraft on the horizon for them in the future.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
