You are rather negative most of the time big vern if you dont mind me saying. :meh:
I don't mind at all Brum X.
After 30+ years working at BHX and being involved with many of the airlines that have come and gone, I have become more of a realist and not a fantasist with the growth capabilities etc etc etc.

National 757-28A N176CA just landed

Good stuff, Im looking forward to going to BHX tomorrow and the weather is looking fine too.

Hopefully i can capture some of the day and share with you all tomorrow evening when i get back.

We all have different opinions on Primera Air, however i am going to put them to one side and enjoy tomorrow. This is a big day for BHX and great to see New York Newark back on our departure boards. (y)

Totally agree, if they had launched the three bases in late June early July none of what we are seeing now would have happened. I am still confident that all will settle down and more routes will follow.

Is the bottom line that there were just delays in their shiny new LRs/NEOs? I know customer services has been shabby too...but once their planes are sorted, it should iron out? Right?

Let’s hope they fix her in time to operate the inaugural flight tomorrow

Delays look to have been a big issue but it's their customer service (or lack of) which has done it for me. It could and should have been handled so much better. I get the impression that they just didn't have the resources to deal with the volume but plans may be in place to rectify that in the future.

Whatever happens they're all we've got to the USA at the moment and it's good to see NYC back tomorrow :)

:nailbiting:

The 3rd A321n ( MSN8260 ) seems to have overtaken the 2nd A321n ( MSN8195 ) at the moment as OY-PAC had its first flight today.

It would be nice if they flew that over tomorrow for a bit of publicity but doubt they will.

Contemplating booking a short trip to Toronto in September, but will leave it until Toronto actually starts I think.

Just looked on the website and the fares are very expensive Tomorrow and Saturday and the premium seats are SOLD OUT or are they not available due to the 757 now operating the routes for a few weeks ?

Now i know why the fares are expensive.

757 had a fuel leak on touchdown at BHX and surrounded by BHX fire crew.

You just couldnt make it up. Words fail me. :( and this is from somebody who can stay positive for a long time. But what can you say about this ?

As Glen has said, lets hope they sort it out by tomorrow.

At least it's an evening departure tomorrow which allows more time.

I really hope that things pick up once the A321's arrive. They got a very positive review in one of the Sunday papers, I can't remember which one.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
