Nice as it may be but regrettably I retch at the smell of onions being cooked. A situation caused by my brain condition , my olfactory nerve is compromised! Raw onion is fine, I tried with Spring Onions but was too fiddly.

Would Red Onion go with cheese?

One of my favourite sandwiches 👍

Last night we had sea bass cooked on a bed of red onion and chorizo, delicious with Med veg and rice.

Might do a lamb tagine tonight.

i did try making the Devon Apple Pie that was discussed a while ago, however I'm afraid that I failed miserably - "must try harder".

Bacon and egg not for me, back in the day at work it was my Friday job a to buy a late breakfast or early lunch from the "chuck wagon " definitely bacon with a runny fried egg which you could guarantee to run down your shirt front or occasionally a Sausages and mushroom always on a white crusty door stop.

As for the sauce no thank you.

Occasionally we would take the healthy option if it had been a good week and visit the local pub instead, don't know how I've survived this long really veg lasagne last night home cooked obviously.

That would have to be brown sauce for me and a runny egg yolk.
I only tend to put tomato sauce on bacon sandwiches or use it in making sweet and sour sauce.

There is nout like folk as I am told and culinary choices prove it. Even my dog will not eat pigmeat when offered.

What a naff day it's the shortest day of the year (winter equinox) never properly got light today raining all day so no proper dog walk, brexit stuck with both sides willy waving over less than 1% of mutual trade, conavirous, Kent a lorry park, airline industry knackered and sod all on telly tonight and the Blues are still crap.

What to do? Bangers and mash with rich onion gravy comfort food maybe with a pint or two.

Anyway Happy Christmas everyone next year must be better he says.

Your Brexit antics paint a fascinating picture if President von der Leyen ioining in. Reminds me of the Spitting Image puppet of Margaret Thatcher where she insisted on going into the gents and standing at a urinal alongside her male colleagues.

I'll not hear a bad word against beans on toast. It's been my evening meal on many an occasion. Sometimes spiced up a little with a dash of Sriracha Hot Sauce.
