There wasn’t with G-JZDA being tech aswell.

Was meant to position out tonight to Manchester after it was taken to the hanger this morning but still appears to be unwell and is now cancelled

Tell me about it, G-JZBA going tech yesterday caused a big headache for me coming home from Arrecife.
Our crew had to position the spare G-JZHJ from Manchester into Leeds first.
The outbound LS415 departed Leeds 3 hours late but they had managed to make up about 30 mins enroute landing Arrecife 2 hours 30 mins late.
The captain did say in his pre-flight speech that they had managed to get some short cuts. Our inbound LS416 eventually departed Arrecife, 2 hours 25 mins late they managed to gain another 20 mins enroute landing Leeds runway 14 at 02:35 this morning, 2 hours 5 mins late.

I see Thursday evenings Easyjet, Belfast Int'l rotation operated by Airbus A319, G-EZDI has picked up a big delay and will now operating into the early hours.

The inbound "EZY047" is now just about getting airborne out of BFS and is due into LBA at 01:35 whilst the outbound "EZY048" is showing due out at 01:55, but I suspect it could be a little bit later depending on how quick the turn around goes. That will give those that shall not be named something to shout out about.

I would have thought it was too noisy to be permitted to take off during the quota period.

The wind and the rain are a coming later today and tomorrow until early hours Sunday. Let's hope for a favourable ish direction and that it doesn't turn out to be as bad as forecast.
The Saturday forecast was showing a north westerly wind, so straight down 32 if that remains correct. Tonight its a crosswind though.

Anyone know why tonight's Sun Express to AYT is still at LBA nearly 3 hours after it was due out? It landed at 1600 but as I type this its 1954, and shown as an unknown departure time on FR24.

Both Aer Lingus flights cancelled tonight and a few hours delay on Ryanair from DUB too, all I suspect down to the conditions in Ireland which are worse than here.

Seems the Airbus aircraft don't like the weather too much. Although the wind gusts are now showing on FR24 as 30 knots, well below the 41 knots earlier, both the Wizz A320 and Easyjet A319 have gone around and currently holding.

Based on past experience it wont position to Leeds. They often show a positioning flight but if I remember correctly its only once that theyve actually done it.

Update10.59- its on its way to Leeds!

Have I read flight radar correct that FR457 landed at 5.09am!! Incredibly long day for the passengers but hats off to Ryanair. Presumably both heavily delayed flights will have had Irish Leeds supporters for the game today so at least they’ve got here if that is the case.
Let's hope its an exciting game then, to keep them awake.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
