Is it interesting that Wizz are diverting to MAN rather than LPL! Should we be reading anything in to that?

Last week one was asked about diverting in the strong winds and he said Manchester was his number 1 diversion.

Latest is they are having to bring in outside contractor and it looks unlikley we will open again this evening.

The coach passengers from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stansted will be pretty disgruntled I would imagine, I’m guessing 4 hours on a coach ? Things happen and safety must always come first, but I doubt that will be their lasting memory of their holiday.

The runway is concrete. Not tarmac. Chances are they'll need to replace one or two of the concrete slabs as they did when a similar thing happened in 2024.
