I can't give you an answer but Manchester has had a similar problem this evening. Unfortunately my laptop is away for the evening and I therefore cannot check my initial log for today.

Noticed the early FR from DUB landed at 0641 this morning. Presumably permitted because it was a Max that in LBA's rules doesn't count towards any quotas
Yes I noticed, as the A1 to Leeds was virtually full, how did they get off the plane, through passport control and on the bus which departs at 0705??? Bearing in mind landing time isnt the time it parks at the stand!

The airport wouldn't ask a flight to hold for as long as that anyway. Only for maybe 5 or 10 minutes max (pardon the pun). But yes, the max doesn't count as per LBAs interpretation, does count according to the 'we need our sleep teddy bear brigade' and is totally excluded from the planning approval just to make it interesting.

Didn't it get reported that noise complaints are actually down Year on Year? and its around the 400+ mark (which I would say in tiny) this could be used a strong defence proving 1. a tiny minority cares about the noise / decides to move under a flight path that has been there longer then they have been alive & 2. the quieter aircraft are helping improve the situation? 3. the die hard loser dedicate there life to restricting an airport and city with so much potential for the own selfish gains? They are completely targeting the wrong airport and city. yawn.

Most complaints come from the same miserable people who live their lives watching for aircraft to complain about. The actual number of individual complainers is quite low.
The FR Max went straight over my house this morning and I missed it because I didn't hear it, they are so quiet I don't see how anybody can complain about them
How noisy they are isn't really their issue. If the aircraft is quiet, they complain about emissions. If it's noisy they complain about noise. The fact is, its an aircraft. They really don't like aircraft.

Actually, I suspect they're scared of them but don't like to admit it. So they look for any which way they can to interfere with the airport and its business.

Vexatious complaint:
How it differs from a normal complaint
    • Intent:
A normal complaint seeks resolution; a vexatious one seeks disruption or annoyance.
    • Process:
Normal complaints follow a path to resolution; vexatious ones circumvent it by constantly changing the goalposts or refusing closure.

That's them without a doubt. Vexatious.

LS478 inbound from LPA diverting to OPO presumably due to the 733 requiring a fuel stop?

2 aircraft currently in the hold at LBA??
The Ryanair from ALC landed 14 after holding, but the wind is only shown as 17 knots though sounds quite gusty . Nothing else holding so presumably the other one landed too? Anyone know the problem? Wind seems unlikely. Fire alarm again? Wildlife on the runway?

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
