The irony that her colleague in the cabinet is a marxist lunatic. And Rachel Reeves didn't support the original plans for the terminal did she? Or am I wrong?

And her colleagues in Leeds are so anti LBA growth - she needs to tell them as it is, to get in line and support it. But she doesn't have the ability to remove the whip. Only Two tier Kier can do such a thing.
Well that was fun whilst it lasted!! Hopefully LBA submitted their application yesterday and it got accepted!

Hopefully the party still support the statement..

If the programme was about sustainable aviation, what the hell have that lot got to do with it? They are a bunch of self serving NIMBYs and I don't believe for one minute that they're interested in sustainable aviation. Their idea of sustainable aviation is no LBA, and no nasty aeroplanes bothering them.

Did somebody say it was on BBC2 who even watches that channel these days. They will have had the chanel all to themselves.
Well I watched it and it was really about aviation and the attempts to use green fuel and for airlines to become carbon neutral by 2050. To be honest as someone who is slightly sceptical about about some of this green stuff I thought the programme was well balanced (unusual for the BBC) and didn't really go into aviation bashing just going through the pros and cons casting doubt on the date being achieved which I doubt it will.

Regarding your freinds at G**** some bloke made a short appearance and talked about aviation in general terms there were a couple of short bits showing the LBA terminal spoke about aircraft pollution in general. and I think if I remember correctly he he didn't mention LBA at.all and I guess they showed the airport as the cameras went up there to interview him.

In short I thought it a half decent programme and about the aviation business in general not LBA specific in anyway.

It'll be on catch up for anyone who interested to see it for themselves.

Sustainable (adjective). Capable of being maintained at a steady level without exhausting natural resources or causing severe ecological damage. Collins dictionary.
In which case, EVs are NOT sustainable are they? The batteries use natural resources that will eventually become exhausted. So the same would apply to electrically powered aircraft if they're reliant on batteries . To be 'sustainable' both parts of that definition need to be met, not just one.

Could someone explain to me what 'sustainable' means. To me it is globalists who are altering the mean of our ENGLISH words.

A new phrase to introduce a different way of life. That the “blind” are walking into yet the “awake” are trying to wake the blind up to.

A new phrase to usher in complete and utter control over us whilst having ultimate control over money and power. Unfortunately for the likes of the WEF, UN, Globalist satanic worshiping parasites, Bill Gates, Soros, Balckrock etc we are waking up to the BS.

Viva La Revolution.

For anyone that is interested I have just posted in the Using Manchester Airport (Questions and Reviews) of our recent experience of TUI and T2 at MAN. Let's hope our upcoming LBA developments provide the choice that means Mrs Finger and I have no need to not have to hop over the Pennines again in the future. But on this occasion, if you do read my review, there was not one aspect we could fault. Something for LBA to definitely live up to

50 mph NWs forecast within the next few hours. Could 32 see some additional action? Fingers crossed 🤞

Storm Darragh due tomorrow evening, is predicted to generate extremely strong NWs. LBA and it's normally crosswind afflicted runway, may well be the most popular in the UK (along with BHX) come the weekend.

According to the TAF the winds will be from the West.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
