I have the dubious pleasure of having her as my Councillor. Very much a buddy of our anti LBA MP too.

I note she says she has to listen to her residents and they don't want night flights. Well tough. And I have to point out she's never once asked me or anyone I know what my view is on night flights. She listens to a minority and doesn't even bother to find out the views of the majority. Same old rubbish. In the pockets of they who shall not be named.

I’m sure in her discussions with Jet2 and the airport they will have both pointed out to her the necessity for LBA to compete effectively with competitor airports….
Im certainly no supporter of her but at least she is engaging with the airport rather then the drip Sobel who simply opposed everything the airport did…interestingly he has now been sidelined from any chance of a ministerial post, most likely becuase of his student politics..

True, but she's still pandering to airport opponents just as every councillor in my area does and has always done irrespective of which party they represent. Not one has ever bothered to establish what most people really think, because they don't want to know. A few moan and they simply assume that is the majority view. Drives me nuts.

Jet2 is the only other company at LBA that carries out aircraft deicing and that is strictly for their own fleet and no other aircraft. This could potentially be a tricky situation for non-Jet2 aircraft.

On the flip side, LBA is the only airport in the Jet2 network where deicing is in-house. The job is done by third party agencies everywhere else that Jet2 flies to, including its biggest bases.

They nutters only use "green" as a smokescreen as we know all they really want is just no airport there. Even if all aircraft were green tomorrow, they'd still want the airport shut.

Ahhh the worshipping of the "climate is CHANGING we are all going to DIE" alter nutters.

They'd still be blaming someone or something if we all lived in a cave and didn't do anything.

Here we go again. Material they who shall not be named will, no doubt, regurgitate to make them look like they're not just a bunch of NIMBYs.

So, not directly LBA related - yet . The decision of the Government regarding Luton in particular , and Gatwick, will give a good indication as to whether they are truly for or against airport growth .

Actions speak louder than words and delaying a decision on Luton expansion by another 3 months sounds familiar and doesn't bode particularly well for them or other airports over the next few years.

Perhaps Labour inherited their ever-so-deep in tray from Michael Gove?

If aircraft used water as fuel and were as silent as a glider this lot, with their biased statistics and reports, would still oppose any airport expansion. I suggest they go to China to oppose airport building there, with a bit of luck they’d never be seen again.

Perhaps they should go and protest about the re-opening of DSA with all the extra pollution they claim it will create. Oh sorry, I forgot DSA doesn't have pollution issues even when it was open.

Not enough movements at DSA to worry them about pollution? It'll be no different second time around either. The Doncaster Mayor emits more hot air than the aircraft..

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
