Who provides the airports arrivals information to the BBC interactive service?

I have just noticed apparently tomorrow's Monarch flight is operating in from Munich Reim airport when it closed in 1992! All operations are now from the new airport named after Franz Josef Strauss. They should just have it simply as Munich like every other airport.

Also it states a Ryanair arrival from Dusseldorf when it's coming in from Weeze...

Didn't you realise that as far as Ryan is concerned Weeze IS Dusseldorf.

Yes I do but I would have thought the airport would know the difference. It's not like it's the only service to that region, jet2 operate to the real Dusseldorf airport!

I think the airport posts the information as provided by the airlines hence the error. I seem however to think that at one time it was posted on the arrivals board as Dusseldorf/Weeze. Could be wrong on that though. Perhaps someone will correct if that is the case.

Isn't there an old joke about someone taking a Ryan flight that got diverted and they actually landed where they wanted to go when they booked the flight?

Just noticed that the departure board now shows departed flights as airborne instead of departed.

It's just a small thing but i posted just in case anyone is interested.

Does anyone know when the lounge opens?

Ah.. found it on the website. 05:00. So will be able to get a coffee and some toast before getting the 06:00 KLM then :)

Hi all

Well I know several members have recently been asking me about the free LBA online timetable which I produce twice a year for my website (Winter & Summer). Well the good news is that after spending about 20 hours producing it and compiling all the information together it I've just uploaded this evening the provisional Summer 2013 timetable (Issue 1) onto the LBAspotters.net website and can be viewed using the following link.

http://www.lbaspotters.net/summer2013timetable.htm

P.S please feel free to download or print for your own private use. Usual disclaimer applies so see bottom of online timetable for full details.

Could I just check something about the Sunday schedule. It shows FR152 arriving at 18:15 and then FR156 arriving only 40 minutes later at 18:55. Is this correct?

just thought I'd let you know that I went through LBA on Tuesday for the first time since the new alterations were opened, and I have to say I was very impressed. Much more spacious than the old departure lounge and feels modern. Well done to all concerned so far. Flew on the 0850 Belfast City FlyBe service and it was, I'd say, 98% full, very impressive even though it was only a Dash 8. I don't know if it's the same each day but if it is I'd say an E195 can't be far off being used on the route. The return flight on Friday afternoon would be about 60% full so still a reasonable load also on the Dash 8.

catering.
a general question. it must affect all airports. with this horse meat problem. does anyone know if the meals on planes are. or have been. or goingt to be checked.??
also if a plane is catered in a foreign airport what sort of checks would there be.

As you will be eating Horse in most European spots, mind as well start the holiday fare early. Want to know when all this horse meal correctly labelled is going back on sale, hope not going to waste, good food.

Latest Update @ 22:15 on Monday 18/02/2013

Hi

I have just been informed that my website http://www.lbaspotters.net/ is currently down and will be inaccessible for a while due to the hosts webs.com server been attacked by a DDOS (A Distributed Denial-of-Service Attack). By all accounts it’s the same kind of an attack that has recently took down The CIA, The Sony Play station Network and Honk Kong Stock Exchange websites.

They are hoping to have the issue revolved sometime overnight hopefully,So i should be able to update it tomorrow.

Some idiot it currently launching multiple Chinese lanterns over Guiseley. It even says on the packet not to launch with several miles of an airport.

I see are old neighbour Manchester Airport are back up to their dirty old tricks again. :whiteflag: Have now seen several billboard advertisements around Leeds stating "Fly from Manchester you local Airport 56 miles away"

Also they have gone one better as they are also advertising on Leeds based Radio Station 96.3 Radio Aire. As you can enter a competition to win £500 of holiday vouchers and plus a chance to win a £2,000 holiday to the Carribbean...

http://www.radioaire.co.uk/win/win-500- ... -vouchers/

I hope Leeds/Bradford Airports marketing team are going to fight back. Also its such a shame the see the local radio station is now supporting the rivals as well.......

Did you not see the prime time LBIA television advertisement last week in association with Monarch Airlines?

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
