I suspect this aircraft was owned by DVB Bank and leased to Air Europa who operated it as EC-JZL until Sept 2020 when Air Europa returned the aircraft to DVB. At that point it was re- registered as OE-IOU and- given the state of the market was placed into storage. So in theory it is/was available to be made airworthy again but its a bit concerning that theres nothing on the internet that confirms its already back in the air. The point made previously is also valid- how can the service operate without a back-up aircraft.

Footnote: Serene operate 2 x A330, one of which is ex Air Europa and was delivered about the time MSN 814 went into storage- so likely to have also been owned by DVB bank.

The outbound is at 20:30 so inbound sometime between now and then. Hopefully it will be on FR24- but that may be the first indication we have that its actually happening.

So where does this information that the aircraft to be used will not be from Jordan Aviation but an ex-Air Europa machine?

Well, thats undermined their credibility before they even start operations. There are going to be a lot of annoyed travel agents and passengers. Will they ever trust IPS again? Doesnt bode well for the future of this airline.

What airline would postpone 6 days before its due to start operations? The fact that its a delay of at least 2 months suggests that its a significant issue- makes you wonder why they didnt anticipate it.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
