Avidor was you the strange person security where watching walking about with a camara, some one said its ok he harmless  :ROFLMAO:

Some excellent shots in the photo gallery, but can I correct the details of the British Midland T-Tail G-ELDH - It is a DC9-32 and not a Fokker 100. Flown on her to and from Heathrow many times and a fine aeroplane she was too. Once did LHR Take off to LBA landing in 27 minutes and still time for Diamond Service!

Thanks Bob, my bad. I was in a rush posting them eariler. I'll correct it now. :s_thumbsup

Few photo's of the Thomson 757 G-OOBG on arrival from Palma today at LBA, along with Jet2 737-300 G-CELG just airbourne on her way to Jersey.

Also do apologize if the photo's aren't the best quality, only had my phone with me so had to make do.

Thanks Concorde Lover. That top one looks miles away. You need at least a 70mm lens for photos taken there.

Doesn't LBA look fabulous in the Summer Sun!

I'm thinking about getting the HTC One X... your photos displaying the camera quality is winning me over nicely...

Who needs a £500 Camera when you got an HTC one X.

The image sense technology is first class.

I would say you're best off getting an SLR camera with a 200mm lens. They are expensive but you get what you pay for. There's plenty of places where you can get a reconditioned SLR camera at a fraction of the price of a new model.

Any camera with a half-decent zoom will do for LBA, seeing as how close you are to the runway, especially when at the cemetery. I'm still using my 6 yr old Kodak with a mere-by-todays-standards 6mp, although it does have a 12x optical zoom. And seeing C L's pics on a sunny day has just given me the urge to get up there today. :yahoo: Blue skies, warm sunshine, women in skimpy outfits, and aircraft roaring over your head. Bliss :drinks:

Good point, a lot of people make the mistake of getting a camera with a high digital zoom when optical zoom is much better. A high pixel camera with a good optical zoom with take some cracking pictures.

Thanks for the thanks lol. C L I was stood by the Tarn to take the 757 pic. Here's a few more, taken with camcorder whilst filming, so lower quality than the ones with the camera.

This Sums Leeds up! I love this picture.

Edit; Concorde Lover, if you go up on a weekend between half oneish & five you'll see all three 757 in & back out to where they are going. Same goes for Monday, Thursday & Friday! You can also get up extra early and be up there between 645 & 900 to get a real feel for rush hour :)

Hi masere, "lower quality", are you kidding, those are great shots?!

I especially love these two pictures. The one with the Jet2 and Thomson's gives it that busy feel.

(PS. have you tried using our photo gallery yet?)

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
