If you haven't already, you need to access holiday extras site via the Martyn Lewis pages to obtain the bigger discounts

Take a look at Sentinel. I've used them for years. They are a couple of minutes from the terminal via a courtesy shuttle bus with many on here recommending them. You just drop your car off and they park it up and when you are due back they bring it round to near where the bus drops you off. All parking is sucure and on-site. Also note that there is a 10% discount of the price if you register with them. You can do this and get the discount when making your first booking. I had quick look and assuming your stay actually works out at 8 days it will cost you, as a Member, £45.

Have to say have had a response from the airport on my question on lifts.
In one respect they reminds me that on arrival we will always be on the ground floor and therefore lifts dont come in to the mix.
However, they have avoided answering how we get up to the departure floor or if we will be limited on departure and not have access to duty free etc i.e. be contained in an area similar to that which now exists by gate 6.
Whilst not on the new extension, have also written to ask why cars can now be parked yards from the Jet2 terminal doors, yet we as disabled people are dropped off yards away, because you not allowed for security considerations to be able to drive to the terminal. Now we have created a car park alongside the terminal, where the car can remain for hours, strange.

TS, the cars you see near the terminal are meet&greet customers waiting to be collected. They have been driven there by staff and so there is a knowledge about who put them there. I understand they are also searched or at least screened so all this satisfies the CAA. Clearly this can't be done with customers such as yourself. On a sort of related note, the bollard line across the front was determined on a presumption that the original terminal front extension was going to be built. Now it isn't, the bollards could move a lot closer and so those with less mobility could be helped. Doubt it will happen though!

I am not sure about your reply, all the cars were business executive type Bentleys etc, but by 7pm all the business flights had cleared the airport and only bucket and pade flights to arrive, Every space was full, I would have expected if meet and greet some would have ben on the heathrow, amsterdam or dublin flights all which had arrived in the last 90 minutes.
All had earl;y evening dew on so been there a few hours.
May go up monday night and then early tuesday morning to see if parked overnight.

i know what you mean though. Does look more like a posh car showroom than a car park. Probably all the ATC staff on film star wages!

I would imagine it’s kept full with all the cars that are due to be collected soonest. At busy times of year maybe it’s full of cars that will be collected within a day or so, at less busy times it’ll be cars that will be collected within 2 or 3 days, but it should always be full.

Thanks for the update, a shame the area could not have been used as a drop off zone for blue badge holders, looks as if income again ruled the decision of the airport, not passenger needs.
As the area completely open, does seem a security risk.

Just got this from Charles Johnson. Time for us to start paying towards the airport's huge financial hit. It doesn't bother me but just wait for the moaning to start!

Dear Members

We write to notify you in advance of some changes that are taking place to the airport’s car parking offers from Tuesday 25th May 2021

The Terminal Front Express will be renamed ‘Pick Up & Drop Off’. We will also be implementing a £2/hour price increase in Short Stay for the first two hours, and the new Pick Up & Drop Off tariff also increase by £2 for all periods. Following a challenging time for aviation, Leeds Bradford Airport needs to respond to the financial challenges faced by the industry brought about by the pandemic. The airport’s current pick up and drop off tariffs are well below other regional and major airports, in some cases 50% lower. The price adjustments will bring us in line with those airports, whilst still being able to provide the most generous free car parking offer of any UK airport at one hour free.

The Pick Up and Drop Off area will remain free to electric cars to help drive the airports sustainability ambitions. Blue badge holders will have their time extended from 30 minutes to 60 minutes for the minimum £5 charge

The changes are being communicated to passengers through updated signage and our website.

Should you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Does anyone know if LBA's parking booking engine is down as it keeps kicking me out?
No idea AirBingley but why not try the very good and usually quite a bit cheaper Sentinel. Last time I booked through a promotion via Money Saving Expert/Holiday Extras which was even a bit cheaper than booking direct with Sentinal with my 10% discount.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
