All the jigsaw pieces seem to be coming together regarding the PIA flight from LBA again, they already fly from LHR, BHX and MAN so im in hope the 4th base will be LBA. Jordan a use the perfect aircraft types as well.
How is it possible to be LBA with our current terminal facilities? no way does any airline want to start here (apart from EZY, 3rd FR base, Flybe & Emerald) to name a few this year.. it looks all very likely and fingers crossed this actually does come to fruition, finally.. Hoping for at least 2 weekly, 3 would be fantastic.

If the flight arrives at the right time when arrivals and departures is quiet, then it's possible. It's when it turns up late and gets mixed up with the other flights that mayhem ensues.
I heard that Jordan Aviation were looking at LBA using A330 200s on behalf of PIA several months ago, and well before the ban on PIA was extended, so if they do this, they may be intending to use Jordan at LBA even after PIA are cleared to fly again to the UK. My understanding was that the flight deck crew would be Jordan Aviation and cabin crew PIA.

And the first? Was it Aer Lingus?
Yes. A one off. We also had a series of Air Luxor A330 flights to and from Faro one summer, and a couple of Monarch trooping flights to and from Paderborn, Germany - and the previously mention Balkan.

I don't think LBA is an afterthought. It's just that no contract has probably been signed yet and until it is, the route is nothing more than a 'potential' route. They may have other options too and in the end it usually comes down to money.

PIA were 3 a week to start but then reduced to 2 per week. Be great to see the A330 at leeds if all comes true but once again it does bring my argument into the spot light regarding the current terminal, even with the extension as passenger figures increase at busy times the terminal may be at bursting point, saying that if the current terminal was reconfigured too this may not be an issue. Please dont all shout at once, it is a forum haha

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
