I wasnt sure where/if to post this. Its a start up airline planning to fly from Manchester but its where the airline is based that's interesting. Frustrating as US routes would be good for LBA and the aircraft type is suited to ops from LBA.

I can't recall off-hand where I read it, maybe on Twitter in which case credit to either SPD_Travels or Sean M, but there was mention of PIA, in association with Jordan Aviation, continuing its operations to BHX, LHR and Man and possibly adding a 4th UK regional airport.

Its been posted and discussed in here too about a week ago. Rumours are rife at LBA.

Can our catchment area sustain a link to Accra? I don’t think it can tbh.

Well imo Africa won't work from Manchester.

USA is left open for US carriers and Virgin. If Virgin had more aircraft on order or able to take more there is an opportunity to take the market created by and left by TC.
I would be surprised too, but its really all down to cost. There have been continual requests made for US flights on this forum and I personally think Florida would be a go-er.

Better tell Ethiopian Airlines that Africa won’t work from Manchester. They appear to be going strong and getting stronger loads lately?

Able to connect into their banks of connections going far & wide. Think of them as a really small Emirates.

Point to point on an A330-200. Good luck to them but way to bleed money.

Accra is in the top 10 connection points for Ethiopian ex-MAN, decent cargo loads and a growing VFR market. A 3 weekly A330 isn’t as daft as it seems, provided they get it right. A bit like the PIA markets just on a smaller scale.

It maybe however Ethiopian have other destinations that they can bank of to syphon traffic through. Therefore making it profitable. And do they operate direct? All I've seen when I book with Ethiopian as a dummy booking is a 787 via BRU. If that is correct it lowers the risk even more for Ethiopian.

I’d much prefer a local based airline or another tour operator to offer Florida and maybe a bit more with some 787’s or A330neos then I would a brand no one has heard of.

So would I, but beggars can't be choosers. Also depends on what you mean by 'local based', as article says the company is Bradford based.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
