When you say headline news, have you checked out this “news” outlet. It seems like it’s another one-man-band company…. As aviador mentioned - the intro music is ripped from the BBC - suggesting this is less mainstream and more amateur hour.

Until a more reliable source comes up with concrete evidence that these flights are to take place, I certainly wouldn’t advise anyone to part with any money.
I know alot of people don’t seem optimistic about their launch. But they don’t start flying until August and we are in the middle of June now theres still time for developments before they supposedly start. I’m waiting and seeing what transpires.

The lba-isb flights are now shown on aeroroutes and is shown as been operated by an A330! Airline code is IP
With news like this it once again proves our 1960s terminal is not fit for purpose with or without an extension!

The second report at least looks credible, the first looked like an avatar and not a person- so anyone in a bedroom somewhere could create that.
LBA4EVER If the route does transpire, how does that prove the terminal is not fit for purpose- surely it is the opposite that the terminal in itself is not perceived as a barrier to new carriers?

Im betting this news has gone live yesterday in pakistan so expect an announcement next week here.
That 2nd video clip pretty much confirms it with me, if this does happen and the A330 is very usable into LBA then its one heck of a catch for LBA. Could end up a daily service!

Calm down lad. 3/4 weekly yes. Daily Pakistan I doubt it.

Wow its making headline news in pakistan, everyone but lba announcing this new service, typical LBA! Are the airport even aware haha
Its good to see our route development forum busy atm with numerous new routes and airlines!
Yes they are aware, if only because I have written to them twice about this. Their first reply was very non committal though confirmed they were looking at ISB (knew that anyway). The silence has been deafening in respect to my second communication.

It's a risk, folks I've spoken to would rather drive across the Pennines and fly via ME carriers. On the other hand, I would like it to succeed because that way we can prove to ME carriers they can fly from LBA because the yields are healthy at LBA.

do they need relevant permissions if the AC is leased from Jordan Aviation that already operate into the UK? surely the AOC will be of the airline leased? tickets are being sold, there is a customer and trade log in, it DOES look very genuine to me and if it is a hoax in my opinion, its a bl00dy good one/professional one.. Still an announcement from the airline/LBA would confirm or deny the operations, but there is alot of evidence to suggest this is ligament.

Jordan Aviation have to apply to serve BHX/LHR/MAN every month and when you look at the CAA application it’s always date/route specific, so I’d assume this means they can’t just tag an LBA/EMA flight onto the existing licence.

While not saying it’s a hoax in my opinion, the fact they don’t have any relevant permission to operate should be treated with caution. Just because tickets are being sold doesn’t mean the route will operate. Look at Niceair. They thought they did everything needed but are still unable so serve their U.K. routes. CAA permissions are paramount, regardless of what their intentions are.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
