Olympic comeback?
No, I am not leaving cryptic clues.
All I know is what I was told and it's not for me to say anything at all. It's fun seeing all the guesses though..
To say White Heather 'All I know is what I was told and its not for me to say anything at all' to me and probably a lot of other people confirms that we are getting a new operator into LBA though I can fully understand that you are not able to disclose anything until a formal announcement is made by the airport.

That's may well be true. However, I wasn't told by the airport - they didn't even tell me about Wizz, (although when I mentioned Wizz rumours to them, there was no denial either). I knew about Wizz via other reliable sources.at least a month before it was confirmed.

I was told about this other airline by another member and have absolutely no reason to doubt him or his sources , but I would never disclose what I was told in confidence. And, as I said earlier, it might not happen. It's not as though we dont have a track record on new airlines not actually happening. We've had BMi and IPS in recent years as obvious examples.

Hi All, longtime lurker but first time posting, couldn’t help but jump in on the discussion of a new operator coming in that doesn’t serve Manchester. But what would thoughts be on JetBlue potentially surprising us all to JFK? Absolutely realise it’s a far fetched one but the long haul aircraft they have would fit LBA perfectly, especially on a route that has no competition other than the pre covid Jet2 trips?

I'd be happy for British Airways to reinstate the Heathrow route with a night-stopping aircraft. They might even use an airbridge on 7 or 8.

Here's hoping. Plus Lufthansa, Iberia, SAS and Air France et al.

Rather than trying to guess which airline it could possibly be, perhaps WH could give us an indication of when its possibly going to be announced, the suspense gets to me haha
Perhaps WH can't, because WH doesn't have a clue! In fact WH doesn't know anything at all other than what she's been told which is the name of an airline. Not when.

I guess patience is the order of the day!

well just for a bit of fun if 'patience ' and 'cards' are being looked into here you'd usually use 'Tarot' cards for a bit of fortune/future telling so the nearest airline I can think of for that is Tarom from Romania............. nice bit of competition for Wizz...
Alternatively you might employ the services of a Spiritualist to tell the future...............Spirit airlines then comes to mind which currently are in the process of merging with JetBlue .............who have been mentioned a couple of posts ago by 'Lbabloke'

Hang on while I slap myself and wake up!!!!!!:))))))))

Meanwhile back to the thread.......

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
